As the supporters paid for it, it might have been a suitably magnanimous gesture by the club to have arranged for one of them/us to assist Andrea and the Bowles clan with the opening ceremony, rather than take the credit for it and tell us when to be in our seats and what not.
I love the name regardless as it proves, for all I'm told 'this isn't 1976 any more' when discussing all matters QPR, it's completely the opposite and it's ALWAYS 1976, even though the calendar says it isn't.
