Know how you feel, I once at work was rewarded for my hard work with a week away in Malta, all expenses paid for me and the girlfriend now wife. Only problem was we had Oldham at home the day we were due to fly out and Notts County away the day we came home. I couldn't miss either game so I dragged the wife to both instead. She still doesn't know about Malta but enjoyed hooters in Nottingham where we saw Stan Bowles who told us to f ck off as I'm in here. Wouldn't have got that in Malta [Post edited 27 Oct 2022 23:01]

I remember that dismal run under Don Howe vividly...and barely recall a whisper, from Rangers fans or media alike, about him potentially losing his job. Likewise with Gerry, it wasn't just a "returning hero" honeymoon period, it was genuine belief that with his and our patience, he'd crack it.

We're staying in the same hotel as the Fijian rugby league team Pat.
They're v fit, but they are young enough to be my sons sadly, and looked a bit scared of my sister and me, so no offers so far. They were carrying three massive cakes donated by the local Fijian community, which is rather sweet but may give their nutritionists a headache.
Mind you I haven't been to Greggs yet, so there may still be hope...
