I suppose legally any pub can open at 11am, but obviously each establishment can choose when they feel like it any time after.
Just feels like years ago any pub could be relied on to be open from 11; I suppose landlords are bunch of workshy layabouts these days  | |

Talking of pub opening times, before the west ham game the other week, I got the train into Waterloo and decided to go to the wetherspoons in Tottenham Court Rd. They weren't serving alcohol till midday, so we took the short walk to Leicester Square, only to find out they didn't start serving till midday also, so we ended up selling a kidney each and drank in the all bar one next to the Leicester Square spoons.
Anyone have any idea why they don't start serving till so late, when others are happy to serve from about 9am? | |

was in the alexander fleming/wetherspoons, paddington before the west ham game.
got to the bar at 2 minutes to 10, ordered a round.
sorry cant serve alcohol until 10....because of the tills....
fair enough.....
