JS has stated we need some experienced heads in the squad, and we have just let some go.
So, assuming they don't cost money (wages or fees) and these are just squad enhancers, not assets to develop, how about these golden oldies?

We know this guy, deep Champ experience and decent playmaker. Would be a leader and help develop people like Vale.
I bet he would want silly wages, though.

Apparently released on a free. Dodgy knee now, so perfect for QPR's injury list.
Massimo Luongo:
Hayden replacement, did his ACL in recently, so, of course, perfect for QPR.
Can he still do box-box?

A position we don't need filled, but we are QPR.
Injured with ACL and so on for last season. Sign him up!
Daryl Dike:
Another who is in a position we don't need filled.
Signed by WBA for £8m and then never played again. We like WBA players who get injured, then come here and play for us as solid pros. Sam Field anyone? Deep physio room experience, has the gold card for this. QPR signing imminent.

I don't think we are recruiting for the injury room though are we?
I'd keep an eye on Cov personally on the off-chance they decide Matt Grimes isn't good enough for the Premier League (which will surely be the case). Or maybe Boro won't go permanent with Alan Browne. But if we sign one of these older pros, we need someone who can not only lead in the dressing room, but can be fit for 40+ games a season too. It's as much about reliability, consistency as anything else.
