Some nice pics of Charles pulling up a pint of Badger and sympathising with England fans & players.
Nice range of beers. I particularly like Hopping Hare (geddit ?) and Fursty Ferret.
Always hope to see it in 'Spoons but no luck yet.

My grandparents used to live in Weymouth so we spent the summer down there (my parents were teachers so we had the whole summer). Driving down there you pass the Nadger brewery at Blandford. So it was the sign that we were in Dorset and nearly there.

Most of the pubs were either Devonish or Badger and there used to be a lot of family trips involving those pubs(all my cousins loved in Weymouth too). I was too young but remember scampi in a basket.

Cany say i kept up with them once i grew up though. Grandparents are long gone and they arent prevalent in town.

Used to live up the road from their Blandford brewery. Ferret was the only one anyone ever drank. Decent beer but I'm more of a lager man. The Fontmell (Fontmell Magna, halfway between Blandford and Shaftesbury) has its own blond beer called Recidivist which is very nice. Well worth a look.

I'm not a big fan of Hall and Woodhouse pubs in general. I tend to go for Badger Best which can be decent. On the rare occasion I'm in Dorset I'm usually on the look out for Palmers beer which is pretty good.
