This lad is just getting better and better, another outstanding performance today and I would go as far to say that he is currently the best right back in the league. Their left winger never got past him all afternoon. And to add to his defensive qualities he is now getting forward more and more. Well done whoever identified him. And more than anything, well done to the lad. I’m sure it was in the Bromley pre-season game that it was noticeable that teammates weren’t avoiding passing if possible. If that is the case then this is an even better turnaround than Madsen.

New contract must be coming soon.

Smells like a trout farm in here

I've been converted from having little confidence in him to having full confidence in him.

I expect him to make his Australia debut in the next international break.

Love his 'no fuss' 'get on with it' style.

We have two v solid full backs with him and Kemper (hope ankle knock not too bad).

Thought he’d have his own thread after that performance today.
Proper gutsy

Made a few errors but far far fewer you’d expect of a lad his age; confidence is growing each quarter of a game he gets through.
Really good contribution throughout with his block tackle in the second goal a highlight. However, what I loved was his attitude - check him out at times boosting up more senior players around him; his body shape and positioning demanding the ball and he don’t take no nonsense from any oppo player.
He’s also no slouch

In the confessional I’ll admit to Father Steph that I never thought this lad would be a player at this level….. wrong

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

It will be a long queue for the confessional. Outstanding today as he has been for all of this season and seems to be getting better and better with. every game, what was noticeable today was his first time passing and attacking every week seems to be levelling up

His overall game awareness has improved beyond belief. He's also much tougher and quicker this season. Has really taken his chance.

Never knowingly right.

Strangely, Kemper getting injured on day 1 seems to have worked out quite well. Gave Adamson his chance, which he's taken with both hands! And Kemper's come back very strongly too.

Plus the guy is unbelievably fit. 85th minute amd still bombing forward in support of counters when the game is already won.

Have to say, Kemper and Adamson as a full back pairing rremind me a little of Neill and Dawes. Good, solid defenders first and foremost, with a little bit about them supporting the wide men.

Agreed.
Adamson as a 3rd choice RB is excellent indeed. Not many teams in the EFL have a 3rd RB that good.

Could make it his own with Lampty always out.

Our options at full back this season are absolutley bananas in comparison to previous years. I don't know who or what is responsible for Adamson's incredible progression but enormous kudos to the lad and the coaching staff behind him. Outstanding stuff.

As with Madsen the transformation from last season is quite remarkable. Brilliant play today to win the ball back for our second.

As terryb mentions the downside, as with Burrell, will be the International call up's. The risk of injury and exhaustion. Wonderful for the players of course to play international football.

I too was dreading him coming into the team on that opening day against Portsmouth, but he put in a solid display and he had continued his fine form and even improved as his performance today showed.

Well done to him and a new contract should be discussed with him in the near future.

As for an Australian cap, I think this is also on the way.

Finally an Australian player is coming good at QPR.

If Nico, Keeley, and even Smythy and Lloydy teach us anything, it's that you just don't know!

We all thought KA looked way off it, didn't offer much in the PSF either. Then a few minutes into the season opener, and it's all just clicked. Of course, consistency, consistency, consistency, but well done him and the club.

We can only but imagine what size of monster is coming with Obikwu.

Of course it is possible that they’re saving Obikwu by not playing him quite yet. They may just think that he needs to have some time to sort out his game a bit the way Adamson obviously has (I know he’s genuinely been injured as well but this could be the other reason he’s not playing now). That’s clearly an optimistic framing of the situation but I haven’t written him off yet. After all I do think Alfie has improved a lot and I think we actively missed him as a Kone replacement against Birmingham, with his pace, nuisance factor, showing for the ball and general unpredictability.

I was in the front row right where Keeley Adamson got the ball hard in the face at Charlton. That was absolutely brutal, and he barely flinched.. but it must have hurt

Doesn’t matter if Lamptey gets fit. He’s earned the shirt. I am very happy that I was completely wrong about him, becoming an excellent RB at this level.

Great performance today he had no right to win that ball for the 2nd goal fantastic play he is doing very well.

I noticed that, late in the match, game won and still running. I remember pre-season the players were asked who the fittest player would be, almost all answered Adamson.

Think the key factor in the improvement in these four players PH, is that they have been coached by Julien Stephan.

Even Chair, I remember commented that Stephans training sessions and ways ofnlooking at the game were something very new to him and he said were the best he had ever experienced.

Praise indeed.
