It burns my insides to hear he is to be released.
He should never, ever be freed!!!!!! Never never never never never he should have been executed immediately the evil little fcking monster. (are you talking about the James Bulger lad? I found the case so upsetting i didn't even read your link, because i don't want to even hear about it. Still haunts me what they did to that poor baby.)

Surely, there must be a limit to the depravity a person can commit and yet still be forgiven for?! Imagine James Bulger's mother and father thinking every minute of every day about what those monsters, fcking monsters, did to their baby boy. Unforgiveable.
Ps Re should Holloway post links like this; personally, i don't see any harm. It's not like we have 100 fascinating threads every day to pour over. Easy to ignore a thread you don't fancy. I think it's sometimes interesting to gauge a cross section of people's opinions on certain current affairs topics. And i think it's perhaps just a little mean, actually, to knock somebody just for posting a thread, unless of course it's something absolutely ridiculous.
Even then, i'd prefer more people to post a thread, not try to pressure people to stop doing so. Just my thoughts :-)

It is a very emotive subject. The "boys" were ten years of age and you could argue that being in jail into their twenties would be sufficient under the eyes of the law, but the minute that f*cker was found to be downloading child abuse images, then *BANG* straight back in for whole of life, no discussions, end of. It also highlights that the system appears to have completely failed to do anything about addressing the serious psycho issues the two boys had which is supposed to be part of the deal before allowing scum like this back on to our streets
My brother and law and his wife are good friends of the priest who was the Bulger's Parish Priest in Liverpool. I met him at a family wedding in Spain when he shared a villa with us. He would not discuss any detail what so ever about the case but obviously he was very involved with the parents and all he would say was that even with the coverage of what went on, we still dont know the half of it what that little boy and his family went through.
I don't believe in the death penalty, but I do believe that a life sentence should be what it says on the tin. |  |

The reason we don't ask the parents (or any victims) is because I don't want to live in a society like they do in Saudi Arabia where people have to bribe others in order not to get an "eye for an eye" punishment.
