I find it very interesting that some will glorify someone who spent a short time playing for us and then left without a second thought, indeed didn't actually do that much in the grand scheme of things. Yet honest players who play for us now are vilified, ridiculed and mocked despite giving a lot more commitment than Broja ever did. Broja only stopped scoring because we stopped playing to his strengths, perhaps we havent been playing to Mara's strengths, who knows. If we all put more effort into supporting the players we have instead of those that stayed for a short time and left, perhaps some of those players would play better, just a thought |

That season Che Adams got 1 more goal than Broja, yet never got any plaudits, we struggled to create chances and score that season. Im surprised that anyone could overate Thierry Small given that he made just one first team appearance that season, the first half against Coventry in the FA Cup |

Im sorry but I dont think RH threw Broja under the bus, in the second half of the season he always had a striker up there with him, usually Che Adams. Im surprised that you say Che Adams has done little, he has hit 15 League goals only 8 players in the Championship have hit more and 3 of them have hit only 1 more. Yes there are times when he should have scored and didn't but overall I think he has done a decent job. |

Based on the fact that we have both Che Adams & Adam Armstrong who have scored goals, Broja has played 31 League games for Saints and scored 6 goals, not a great record, at Chelsea he has played 26 & got just 2, at Fulham he has often been an unused sub and has not started a game Of 14 games he could have played he has managed just 7 appearances all off the bench for just 58 minutes football. He will make a living in the game in the top flight, but I don't think he will be a big star, he is big and bustling, but can't head a ball, defenders found him out halfway through his time here and knew how to play him and isolate him from play. I think a lot of it may be down to his attitude |

I agree with you he refused a contract extension and I agree as I said in the article, he was risking a lot if he signed it and then got injured. But the real issue for Howe was the two games played after the restart in June where he did not play and which both where lost Howe was enraged by what he saw as the player making himself unavailable and not fulfilling his contract and Bournemouth went down by a single point. I totally agree with you it was the players prerogative not to sign an extension and leave on July 1st, that wasn't the real crux, |

Yes in season 2021/22 the last full one before he arrived at Hull they finished 19th, he arrived half way through 2022/23 and they ended up 15th so an improvement and this season they finished 7th, good steady year on year improvement in his 18 months in the job. That is not good enough though, they will probably get in a name manager possibly someone who has just finished playing who will undo all the good work and will leave in a huff moaning about how the players weren't good enough for his coaching methods |

He was still better off form than any of the other options to replace him, especially since we were playing Ipswich. It was never about dropping KWP though, the week before it was Bednarek dropped |

West Brom should be easier than most as it has the Hawthorns station right next to it, which is 7 minutes from Snow Hill station, you could be there and back in half an hour. Likewise the designated away pub is just one stop away and a couple of minutes. It is a pain in the arse when the tickets don't arrive, but it isn't insurmountable, just a drama not a crisis. I had to pick up mine at Arsenal a few years ago and that was a real pain as the nearest pub is about 15 mins walk away |

Probably not at present |

Seems he is accepting he is never going to get in the team at Chelsea and is going to leave in the summer, he has barely played for Fulham during his loan spell. His value has dropped a little over the past couple of years perhaps if we get promoted we could be in for him |

We still had Che Adams who with 16 league goals in the regular season is only bettered by five other players and of course Adam Armstrong who was only bettered by one and we were the third best attack in the League. The issue was the every changing defence in the last third of the season. Why was there always going to be further niggles, his Achilles was completely healed, the hamstring was unconnected, we had the striking power the gamble was when Steward would be fit. |

Very similar to Puel, I have always maintained that Puel got a raw deal from the fans as some could not forgive him for playing weakened sides away in the Europa League. We did have some good wins mainly away from home, but we lost some important players in the summer of 2016 (Pelle & Mane) and then in January 2017 we lost Virgil Van Dijk to injury and Jose Fonte to egotism & sulking. That was the moment that things changed with Jack Stephens making his Saints League debut in January and Yoshida as the two centre halfs, Puel knew he had to cover them, thus we used two defensive midfielders mostly Davis & Romero and supplemented by Hojbjerg. After conceding 3 very defendable goals against Man Utd including a last minute winner where we stopped and watched as Ibrahimovic headed home completely unmarked from 6 yards out, and the game after at Watford where we almost threw away a 4-1 lead in injury time, Puel concentrated on making sure that we kept our central defence covered. Not sure about Moyes, I think his time has passed, but I can think of worse |

You are right people don't like change, but there are issues here regarding access and congestion. Change is not always for the best |
