Which he described as "the home of football". I guess he doesn't get down there much these days!! Apart from being a very moving program, I did laugh when his wife was having a clear out and tried to throw away his Play Off final program. He was mortified.
Had a quick chat with Matt Le Tis at the Romsey Queens Jubilee street party last year. Literally bumped into Gary Lineker in Kings Road (coming out of a shop) when he was still with Danielle Bux - she is very pretty close up whilst he was shorter than I expected. Had breakfast with Claudio Ranieri in 2004 when he was just started his second stint as manager at Valencia and was staying in the same hotel as me. He was charming and incredibly knowledgeable on football.
Brum playing really well at moment. Blackburn supporting mate (ling story) thought they looked really good against them last week and were really unlucky not to at least draw if not win. So think it will be tough but hope for battling 1-1
Really hoping for a party atmosphere and result to match but not as convinced this will be a walkover. Wigan drew at Norwich and won at Luton so are more than capable of spoiling the party. Heart says 3-0 Head says Rs all over them like a rash but they score early and hold out for a 1-1.
This. If he stays as rumours are now suggesting then.................. " It would be a shame to jeopardise a happy marriage because of a little flirting."
Likewise sat in family stand so had to keep my head down until the end. Our fans were brilliant from start to finish and the 2 season ticket holders I was sat next to said the best they had heard for a long while. Also directly in line with Albert’s goal and their shot that hit the cross bar when Seny was out of position Just a mention for the Watford bar under their family stand - 2 pints of Camden Hells and a steak pie for £13.00. Subsidised for season ticket holders. We should do something similar. Great day all round. URs
Depends where you’re staying. September is rainy season on the west coast so I’d avoid Phuket, Krabbi, Ko Lanta unless you like getting wet. Of course if you’re stayin in Pattaya rain will be the least of your worries 😀
Exactly what I said to my mate - the keeper was f*****g huge so golden rule is keep the ball on the ground, but the useless tw*t sticks it at just above waist height. If he or Hemed had half an eye for the goal we would have probably won comfortably as we were so much the better side in second half.
Sorry to go off topic, but if you like Fever Pitch, try High Fidelity - surely one of the best novels ever written about music (again the book, not the film which tried to Americanise something quintessentially English )
Like many, think Bircham could be a good choice. What about similar to solskjaer at Manure - bring him in until end of the season, keep looking at alternatives but give him the job if he turns things around?
The The - hard to choose one track. Really tempted to go with Beyond Love but settled on Uncertain Smile for the Jools Holland solo and uptempo feel which is a bit unusual for them
