Kelvin Davis should not be on this list.
Think back to the days of Nigel Adkins as Manager. Crucial away Game v Leeds, ( Leeds had that megamouth Neil Warnock as Manager in Charge ).
Leeds Pummelled us all Game. Rickie Lambert scored a fabulous Goal, against the run of play.
Kelvin made save after save throughout the Game. He had a wonderful Game, and because of him we WON this crucial Game. The best Goalkeeping performance I've ever seen from our Goalkeeper.
I always remember Warnock' s reaction to the defeat, as Nigel approached him for a handshake after the game.
Clearly heard on live TV from Warnock. "How The '££££' did you win that". Nigel politely said nothing, turned around and walked away. Priceless.
Kelvin dined out for free following that Game. For me, I'll always remember that night, and Kelvin's part in it.

Wokey Cokey 'Loser' Southgate ruined my interest in International Football. Tuchel is better, but it's a Competition that's now All about Money. A ridiculous number of Teams involved, and the Competition elongated until the middle of July, played in three countries.
I might tune in when the Competition moves on to the last 16, but irrespective of which Teams are in the last 16, I probably still won't bother watching.
Both EUFA and FIFA continually interrupt our Domestic Leagues. Players playing almost 12 months of the year.
I'm awaiting the Championship Fixtures for 2026/27, and can't wait for the new Season to begin.Roll on August |

Has anyone thought that Our Club are doing the right thing in their approach to this. I do. The Commission Enquiry is between The EFL and Southampton, not between Southampton and Boro.
We are doing our best to ensure that The Play Off Final is played on 23rd May between Southampton and Hull. We're almost there
Should Hull beat us then all this 'Pile On' on Southampton goes away. The Enquiry can do what they like, find us Guilty or Not. Impose a proportionate penalty on us, as we'll still be a Championship Side.
Now, when we Win the Final, The Commission will have difficulty in imposing a sentence that will satisfy those seeking Hell and Fury against us.
A concern I do have is that ticket sales for the Final have not yet been announced. Apparently both Clubs are to announce details at the same time. Have Hull been told by The EFL to delay announcing their details ? Is the Commission going to try to announce their decision before The Final ? Just get the Game played

I totally believe we WILL get to 84pts by winning all of our final fixtures.
Interesting analysis of Ipswich's games. it's going to be very tight, and I'm not sure that they will make 84pts. I calculated they'd get 83pts, but that was more in hope than reality.
I've said for some time that Ipswich would finish Top 2, and they may well do so. They are the favourites at present.
Either way, our fantastic run in our final 19 games, ( currently 10 wins and 3 draws in 13 games ), will give us all the momentum needed to win the playoffs. In any event, I wouldn't fancy playing Ipswich in the play offs, but would be confident playing the others.
Our penultimate game v Ipswich on 28th April will resolve one way or another our chances of finishing 2nd, or we'll know exactly what we have to do v Preston in our final game.
Tonda has everyone believing again, and as Cyle said "We're getting better every game"
What a fantastic couple of weeks to look forward to, and of course not forgetting that we'll be in The FA Cup Final on 16th May, after beating City in the Semi Finals  |

Interesting results on Easter Monday. Most of the top 6 dropped points. Three teams bunching up on 72pts. We can hit 72pts if we win our next 3 Games, and hopefully get amongst them
I still think that Ipswich are in the best position to finish Top 2, but remember they've still got to play Pompey, Norwich and us, in the penultimate game of the season. That's 9 pts they could drop, 😂😂
Seriously, we MUST Win our next 4 Games, taking us to 75pts, with three to play after The Semi Final on the 25th April.
The 3 games to play are Blackburn, but when can we play them, as Tuesday 28th April is the Ipswich fixture. Will we be expected to play on Thursday 30th April, or will someone sensibly try to slot the Blackburn game in earlier than the scheduled date.
Should we beat City, and finish in the Play Off places, the fixture nightmare will get even worse. The Cup Final is scheduled for Sat 16th May, and the Play Off Final a week later on 23rd May
I know, Inknow, I'm getting ahead of myself. Let's just concentrate on winning the Must Win Games v Wrexham and Derby this week. In any event I do think we'll finish somewhere in the 3rd - 6th positions. |

My favourite FA Cup Game was the quarter final, first replay, Saints v Nottingham Forest at The Dell, 1963. 3-0 down, and we fought back to 3-3.
I was 11yrs old, making my way to The Dell directly from School. Queued to get into Archers Rd end, and got a place directly behind the Goal. I've never experienced anything like that night. The whole ground truly rocked.
I saw every Cup game that year, apart from the Forest 1-1 draw away.
My Grandad took me to White Hart Lane for the second replay. My Dad took me to Birmingham for the semi final.
I was the year of the big freeze, and I remember helping to clear ice off the Milton terraces in an earlier round.

Probably too early just yet. However definitely get him in the dressing room from start to finish on Saturday. His input could be priceless. Fluked the Win v QPR, hanging on for grim death for the final 20 mins or so. Both of our Goals were great. More of the same Saturday.
We really need to beat Sheff Wednesday. |

Thread | A much bigger club than us, currently has similar problems

To the footballing World we are an irrelevance, and our 'problems' are only worthy of condescending comment
The bigger club currently has a problem with it's owners, poor player purchasing, owners seemingly unaware of the stature of the club, making eye boggling decisions to cut costs, and trim back on Staff.
like us, they have appointed a Manager set in his ways - His way or the highway. A totally disastrous appointment by the club, made more strange considering he had success with his methods on the continent.
Like us, the players can not adapt to his way of playing, meaning that the results are very much as bad as ours under RM.
RM effectively relegated us with his 16 games in charge. Although this bigger club will not be relegated this season, they are set to end the season with their worst position for decades, and still the manager will not change his ways.
Whilst our owners are not up to the task of running our club, clueless at management level, and not run by 'football' knowledgeable people, this bigger club is having similar problems, alienating the fans and former legends of the club, and making weird decisions.
Ironically this bigger club is still in with a shout of one of the minor European cup competitions, though I suspect they won't progress much further.
This bigger club is the subject of much debate and opinions from the 'football' fraternity, unlike us.
But then I couldn't give toss about Man Utd anyway. |

Could be putting him in the Shop Window for Loathsome Levy to peruse, before offering a derisory 2 Bob offer for him.
It's in Dibling's own interest for him to start performing.
The 'Spuds' fans aren't happy with the Manager, Owners, and Levy.
Our Fans aren't happy with the Manager, and Owners.
This might be the case that whichever team can be arsed to try, might end up winning the game. Hope it's us. |
