Mind you, I've seen loads of posts saying he's off for weeks. Posts saying the delay was because of tax, delay because of Barkley, delay because of 'insert reason'. Wishful thinking.
We lost control of the situation the minute we made it obvious that we were going to allow him to sit out pre season. And the minute we allowed Koeman to talk openly about signing our player when there was no accepted offer. Makes us look like we don't know what we're doing.
