'Advice' for QPR fans on the offy 18:45 - Sep 18 with 5190 viewsPinnerPaul

Arrive early, don't bring a bag and if you sit in Ellerslie Road, you have to walk all the way round the ground - twice - and oh the 2nd time you probably won't be able to even do that when you want to.

However the club assures us that once inside we should enjoy the match like any other (True quote!)

What an absolute joke!

Sorry I missed another pearl of wisdom.

If you have mobility issues the 'club' (who really don't have the say on this one!) will 'allow' you to wait on Ellerslie Road after the match until any 'restrictions' are lifted!

As a columnist I hate once said, 'You couldn't make it up'

Where does it say you have to walk all the way round the ground twice if you sit in Ellerslie Road???

Or how about keeping those cnts in for 40 minutes after the game, as we have to at their place?

It doesn't, all that will happen is you turn right out of Ellerslie so if you want to go on Uxbridge Road you turn onto Loftus Road and if you are on SA Road you walk around the stadium to get to uxbridge road.

I'd suggest that is better than letting Millwall out as normal and having scenes like in 2010

because the stadiums are different, we have nowhere to hold them like they do at Millwall so they would be in the stand ripping up seats, able to get into the home ends and basically act like idiots. Having a police escort back to the tube station is the safest way to do it

QPR fans are advised to enter Ellerslie Road via Loftus Road. Which means you can't enter via Bloemfomatain Road, which means walking round the stadium.

Says it is likely to be same afterwards = twice round the ground.

OR as above as said the restrictions are placed on the away fans who who are the cause of the 'higher risk' in the first place.

As I normally enter via Bloemfontain Road, I DO have to walk round the ground twice.

perhaps I'm missing something but why do you have to walk around it twice, it's just once isn't it? If you are in SA Road you walk round to Loftus Road then onto the Uxbridge road.

As I say they are limited on what they can do and where they can put away fans, this is the simplest way to do it

If the Nottinghamshire police were able to film us all as we enter the ground, why can’t the met do the same?
Keep them tucked away in their seats and film any of the trouble makers. Why should we let these animals dictate what we can and can’t do at our own ground?

Stop selling away tickets for this fixture. I'm sure the ticket sales we'd lose would be countered a lot by the money we'd save on extra policing. stewarding etc.

Penalises the genuine fans but then that's up to the fans & club collectively to do something about it.

I realise this is the easiest way (for the police) to doit, but still ALL the inconvenience is on us.

Its twice because Its before and after and I don't want to go anywhere near the Uxbridge Road - I'm not walking back to Pinner afterwards!

It would be more of an inconvenience if they did nothing and they were allowed to run riot as they did in 2010.

Where do you need to get to?

Gotta say, I don't understand the fuss.

Would I rather not have the inconvenience? Of Course. Would I rather not have to think about whether to take my kids to a game of football or not? Undoubtedly. Would I rather a little inconvenience to allow the police to do their jobs effectively and keep us all safe? 100%, every time.

It really isn't a massive issue, the club have given you plenty of warning to make different arrangements and it will hopefully keep everyone safe.

In an ideal world this doesn't need to happen. We don't live there.

Hmmm I wonder where 'Pinner' Paul (who's said "I'm not walking back to Pinner afterwards! ") needs to get to....

The Central Line to/from White City is your best bet.

Wish I could be like David Watts

Will you be going straight back to Moonbase Alpha afterwards, or are you using the game as an excuse for a mini-break on earth?

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

Can't we have snipers in the stadium picking off any of them that get out of line?

100% of people who drink water will die.

I wouldn't wait until they get out of line personally, but the main drawback with this is the added cleaning costs, which we can't really afford.

That part is unlikely to be shut so you'l be fine

They'll be taking Millwall fans out of Ellerslie road, down Bloemfontein then up Uxbridge road to the tube
