I seem to remember the bloke started counting them then did it by eye - tipping the fruit salads into a half-full container of black jacks (or vice-versa) then giving me the trebor-laden full container. They spent what seemed forever either nourishing me or gently softening on the window sill in the sunshine that poured through my bedroom window. File under confectionary megalomania. I don't think I'd ever tried them until last year, possibly due to that terrible advert they used to have. I was working with this old chap last year and he was hooked on them. Then I was too. We were going through bags and bags of them in the truck. I started getting the sugar free ones, as I was getting concerned for my teeth, but the old guy was not impressed. I guess given he still smoked 40 a day and drank loads he wasn't a compromise.

as a kid in the early 1970's I won a competition by saving 12 different ice cream sticks with 12 different figures covered by the ice cream. you sent them off and a short note why you use toni bell. the prize was a radio. forgot all about that.
