Happy Birthday, Brian!

You missed an enthralling game, caused by having two dire defences, i think
Throughout the game we kept asking ourselves why it had taken the players so long into the restart to buck their ideas up?
Lots of promising performances, though!

My son has literally been forcing me to watch all the lockdown games and yesterday we nearly came to blows as I was juggling all sorts of - trying to build some planters from sleepers, driving a zipvan from London to Hertford and back to get an ebay sofa and all sorts of other crap.

Glad he made the point yesterday - the game started just as we left Hertford so for the first half he was watching in on the phone and I could hear the comms on the van speakers.

Got home at half time, hooked the laptop up to the TVand there we had it.

The most Warburton game of football I think I'll ever see.

We came to life in the 2nd half at Luton, that performance seemed to galvanise us again. That has sort of been the story of the season, happened a few times, the last being the draw at Swansea in February. Trouble is we never look comfortable even with a 2 goal advantage. Thought brilliant going forward again, defencive weaknesses as usual, but Kakay and Masterson are starting to get confidence and building experience. In fact for me Kakay has been the greatest re-find, since he got his place in the team. Good to see Masterson score, we have the makings of a very good player with him.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes, folks.

My family are R's as well so yesterday's result helped the BBQ mood!

Yep this and the Luton game pure Warbsball.

Quietly massive to get an emphatic reminder of the good side of it ahead of the summer after so much schism and unrest, and after the Bright news too.

I always like to re-read these threads through from start next day after we win.

This one made me wonder: I get why pessimists predict a 0-1, 0-2 etc but after all we've seen this season why do optimists predict 2-1 etc but never (including me) say "I've got a good feeling here, I reckon we'll win by the odd goal in the 25"

Because we didn't have a striker and nobody expected half the defence to start scoring?

Thanks Bennerman.

Family reckon I'm off the head as I'm too busy to mind a dog.

I said I'd think about it. They might be right, but I want one anyway.

Just catching up with the match thread.

Brian congratulations on your half century.

A lot of unhappy disbelievers, pessimists and moaners at the beginning of the thread. I don't think I saw to many 'I was wrongs'

They disappear as quick as they came. Waiting for the next defeat to then dish out the 'i told you so'.

What a load of bolx

Considering the last home game a defeat prediction was well within the scope

Have to apologise for not having faith in a win. .. get out of here... even our learned Clive had it at 0-2
