Frank Swift played for Manchester City and England. He played for a few clubs as a guest in the second world war but not Queens Park Rangers. He became a journalist after retiring in 1949 but was unfortunately onboard the plane which crashed at Munich in 1958 and he lost his life.

Yes, he was definitely one of ours and good enough to go to Man U for a world record fee for a goalkeeper.

We're all getting older mate. I just read loads of football stuff as a kid, in the 60s and remember lots of facts from before my time. Ask me who won the cup last year though and I am really struggling.

Arsenal beat the scum in the final is the only stat worth remembering about last season’s fa cup campaign.

Can’t remember the song that was sang for Shilton at LR after the misdemeanour in his Jaguar.

Nothing between Clemence and Shilton.
Clemence was always on the back foot in the fight for number one after a terrible error against Scotland at hampden Park when he let an innocuous looking shot squirm through his legs at his far post.
Shilton never looked back after that!!

Unfortunately, it's the first thing that sprang to my mind too.

Damn, still painful after all these years.
