More straw men than a filed of freshly sown corn.

And to call someone patronising while telling them to not be a sheep. Right you are then.

Absolutely this. It's 2021. We may not like what football has become, but it has become.

Yeah, I really don't like what football has become.

Well done Illias, delighted we have tried him to the club for a few more years.
He will probably go and go reasonably soon (unless we suddenly become contenders) and this contract should ensure we are financially rewarded should he do so.

Good news all round. 👌

Well then you also want football to be something different from what it currently is.
Nothing wrong with that, I hate it too, but there aren't many other ways out of the situation we're currently in than repeatedly getting big money for players and then investing that well.

Its every clubs 'ambition' outside the top 5/6 in the PL.

Get a crazy offer for any player and you sell AND they want to go as well - would be crazy not to in both cases.

One of the reasons a Euro League seems to keep re occuring is that a number of the top clubs in Europe seem to be in huge financial problems and thats got far worse following Covid.

Whats a real unknown is how if and when football will get back to "normal" and how the people out there will react in the longer term.

What this has to do with Chair signing a new contract I don't know.
