The Stoke City, Pre Op & Post Mortem Thread. on 15:52 - May 1 with 1657 views | Greenbay | HT REPORT There are at least two good things about the first half. First we're winning 1-0 - a powerful Austin low 17th minute shot from just outside the box after Dykes had robbed Souttar. The second is a lush surface - thick grass in stripes just like a zebra crossing. This makes it easy for the linesman to call any offside. I'd love to have some of that lush surface in my garden! Not much of a cohesive pattern from a QPR point of view. But outstanding yet again is Jojo - whether intercepting in defence or creating openings for his midfield or strike partners. Willock continues to be impressive and Dieng - now unmasked - wearing a nose strip - shows why he is our No.1 keeper. He commands his box - punches out when necesssary and so far continues to make vital catches from crosses. Not that Stoke have tested him. Their shots have been so wayward. We are deservedly in front - always look threatening. Another goal would be nice to settle this issue and give us 3 successive wins on the road.
The Stoke City, Pre Op & Post Mortem Thread. on 15:53 - May 1 with 1653 views | BrianMcCarthy | Rangers much better in the last 15. I thought the first 25 or 30 was scrappy and a few of our players were standing off, but in the last 15 all eleven were pressing hard and if we keep that up we've a good chance. Edit - the only worry is that JoJo needs help in centre-mid. [Post edited 1 May 2021 15:54]

I would be tempted to put Field on for Dykes or Austin after 60 mins or so

Me too, Austin I think, personally. Austin has had one good lay-off and taken his shot superbly, but otherwise his passing has been way off and he's lost the ball maybe 7 or 8 times. Dykes going really well.

Great finish by Charlie, but not a lot else going on today in that first half... Like to see more energy from us this half...
