| Just back and a great game 22:34 - Sep 28 with 5701 views | hoops_legend | First twenty minutes were a bit worrying and our defence looked like we wanted to gift Brum a goal The arrive Chair and he became unplayable and in reality could have had 3 or 4 goals. Willock couldn't be tackled and our defence held solid after 20 mins Charlie and Dykes are slow but played parts in the chances and goals so can't complain Great game and enjoyed the clean sheet. QPR amazing or Brum rubbish . Probably a bit of both Good to see Deeney getting nothing as well, I still recall his comments on it being a cup tie for us vs watford | |

Fair enough. It's just the Guinness thread, robith. It has me all upset.

| Just back and a great game on 10:20 - Sep 29 by stowmarketrange | I thought Austin spent too much time playing as a right winger for my liking, including 1 cross that he would’ve loved to be on the end of. |
he was finding space out wide, thought he did a good job for the team

| Just back and a great game on 10:17 - Sep 29 by daveB | first goal changed the game, not much in it before then and we looked quite nervous. We calmed down after the goal and won pretty comfortably in the end. Austins hold play was good again plus winning free kicks to relive pressure, thought he played well and lovely assist by Dykes for the 2nd goal. Impressed by Dozzel again, did a neat and tidy job in midfield before Amos came on and was very effective in his closing down. Chair was excellent and could have scored a few more but Wilock for me again the star man, even as a wing back he shields the ball so well and last 20 minutes when players tired and space opened up he was really exciting. Great and much needed win |
I really liked Dozzell's and Amos' work last night and I'm wondering if starting the pair of them on Saturday might be an option. But, would we miss Ball's physicality against PNE who are usually a pretty brutish lot?

| Just back and a great game on 23:32 - Sep 28 by queensparker | Enjoyed that - weirdly spent the whole game feeling relaxed and never thought we’d lose it. Birmingham aren’t all that and I think we’ve finally got more comfortable against the weaker teams. Some thoughts as well: - Jimmy Dunne looks class in the middle of defence and has done every time he’s played this season, he should be a first pick ahead of big Jordi IMO. Defends first, never looks like he has a rick in him, was awesome in the air against Deeney, and even put in a couple of quality diags a la Barbet - Chair needs a song. We should have sung him off the pitch but we don’t have one. Someone think of one - Watching Willock live after a whole season on a poxy stream remains a pleasure, he’s got the most amazing control and never, ever loses the ball. Our next big money sale - Dykes had one of his anonymous donkey games tonight which bodes well for his next one - Dickie went out with a point to prove and proved it, love him rampaging forward Can’t beat a home win in the pissing rain. An important result that and never looked in doubt |
One point about Dunne, is how comfortable he looked with both feet. Supposedly right footed, but those diags(TM) he was hitting with his left were so accurate and well struck. Such a useful skill to have when playing in the middle of the back three, being able to distribute it accurately either side. Makes it a lot harder to close down the passing angles.
| Just back and a great game on 11:54 - Sep 29 with 834 views | Esox_Lucius | I thought the only player who was on his game from the 1st minute was Moses Odubajo and the others slowly grew into the game after 20 mins or so. IMO he was MOTM for his consistently high level of commitment and ability last night. I can't think of a single mistake he made and he was constantly being blocked and fouled when raiding forward. Honourable mentions to Dunne & Dozzell last night but Chair & Willock definitely the pick of the rest after Moses. Who needs a table when you've got a Chair? | |

Its a funny old game isn't it? We all watch it and come back with different views. Wasn't that impressed with Moses last night myself. 1 simple control he let out for a throw and then got into massive row with Barbet after he (MO) tried to dribble out of defence and lost the ball. Its all opinions isn't it?!
