Could you construct a great QPR eleven none of whom ever played in the same side? So you could have Rodney and Stanley and Sir Les, but not Gerry Francis or Phil Parkes. Ebere Eze and Kevin Gallen but not Alan McDonald. etc. Tough call.

This was bloody hard. I’m only picking players I’ve seen play for us. I’m not sure whether Clive Allen and Leighton James played together for us. I hope not.

Alex Smithies

Angel Rangel
Aziz Ben Askar
Steve Wicks
Mark Dennis

Dave Thomas
Ray Wilkins
Alejandro Faurlin
Leighton James

Paul Furlong
Clive Allen

I lost half a days work to this the other day. Bloody hard!

Steve Wicks and Clive Allen?

Yep, another 'not quiter', Wicks and Allen played together in the 79/80 season.

Reid and Wegerle couldn't be closer in their ending and beginning of their Rangers careers. Reid's last game was the 4-2 battering of the filth at LR on December 9th 1989 and Wegerle's first appearance the following week away at Sheff Wed as a sub in a 2-0 defeat.

Maybe we should have kept hold of Reid a bit longer. He had two games with Ray Wilkins, the aforementioned filth battering and this was preceded by a 3-0 win at Palace.

Yes you're safe, Leighton James and Clive Allen didn't play in the same team. James was sold to Burnley in August 1978 and Allen made his debut as a sub against the filth at LR a couple of months later.

I think the Palace game was Sinton’s debut too, scored twice anyway. Reid left to be player manager at City, big chance for him. Brilliant player in that thrilling Everton team.

Gerry had a short second spell that might have overlapped with Roeder.

It wasn't his second spell where he would have overlapped, it was Gerry's original spell before he went to Palace. Roeder was signed summer 1978.

A 3-1 win at the SW6 shithole in early 1979

1:05 Roeder scores from Gerry's corner.

Sorry Gerry.

It will have to be Don Masson then.

Failing that, we will go even more attacking with Dave Thomas
