Ellerslie Road PM92 season ticket for years hardly missed a game in those days pre kids and work travel. London derbies in those days we always extra special.
Fulham's capitulation that season really was of Devon Loch proportions. At the start of April with ten games to go they were comfortably in third, seven points in front of Leicester who had played a game more. Over the next ten games they picked up just eleven points whilst Leicester absolutely motored picking up nineteen in their final nine games.

Leicester had a very young Gary Lineker playing for them... still to this day I don't think I've seen a quicker player at Loftus Road... I remember him scoring twice in a 2-2 draw in that 82-83 season.
I was there in the upper tier of the Fulham end. We used to sit above the away end in those days as did a few Rs always without any bother but it kicked off in around the toilets/concourse close to half time. I was only 12 in a QPR shirt being threatened by a couple of Foolham loons when some Rangers lads stepped in to calm the situation. got back to my seat told the older lads what happened and they disappeared for a while, eventually returning to say it was all sorted.
I was there lower loft in kids corner with 2 mates Malcolm and Marvellous Marvin remember the Sealy celebration was it Robert Wilson who scored Foolham's goal found out we won the title on 207 bus back home
i was there, my favourite era and team, el tel and allan harris were different class as coaches. despite the plastic we won our share away on grass . that game the ground was heaving, i think they gave 24k but likely more, rammed . the away game 1-1 stainrod scored for us and going home by bus, i was 15, a huge mob of chelsea got on looking for "it" , heads down time. wonderful time , fulham were good but leicester were far better, they had lineker and alan smith . we should have signed ray houghton imo.

Yes I remember that too.
The other standout away performance that season was a young Trevor Steven for Burnley who scored twice for them in a game we won 3-2.

I think we did try to sign Houghton, he was certainly linked.

I also remember Lineker & Lynex being our undoing in a 4-0 defeat at Filbert Street in 84. To add insult to injury the Leicester fans lobbed bricks at us during the police escort back to the station.

Sadly, I was there as well - Alan Smith (future England sub for Lineker)was also playing in that team.
Yes I was there. There was trouble outside afterwards too which was common in those days.
Great times. That was the first season I went regularly and it was a case of how much we would win by each game. Annoyingly we got turned over 2-1 by relegation threatened Chelsea on boxing day 82 though.
Fulham went from looking like certain promotion to missing out, complete collapse culminating in losing at Derby who needed to win to stay up. Malcolm MacDonald tried to get that game replayed because the ref blew a couple of mins early as Derby fans were pretty much on the pitch (one kicked a Fulham player as I recall).
That Derby v Fulham match was fairly bonkers. Just before the 7 minute mark where Wilson gets kicked by a Derby fan basically stood on the pitch.

" Annoyingly we got turned over 2-1 by relegation threatened Chelsea on boxing day 82 though."
That has seriously rankled with me for 40 years especially as how imperious we were that season. They avoided relegation by two points and that three points they got kept them up ultimately.
Had they been relegated I don't think Bates who'd just bought them would have stuck around and they would have had an enormous road back and may have gone under such were their financial problems at the time. Typically, the next season the c*nts were promoted as champions...

Should have kept Geoff Hurst as manager
Yeah good point, that was quite a turnaround from relegation fodder to champions the following season.
