I really like the idea Beale might set us up to play two 10s behind a striker. This will build on Warburton's work and employ two of our best players in their favoured positions. It's a formation Beale likes, one we enjoyed under Warburton and you could say it's become part of our new 'identity'.
I don't think we have enough quality to cover those positions though. Thomas is the obvious one but has yet to convince he'll make it at this level. Adomah's strength is playing wide and he'll be mainly used as an impact sub. Potentials such as Shodipo, Bettache and Duke-McKenna are young players Beale will need to assess so there's a question mark as to whether they get into in the squad.
I'm hoping Beale and Belk have one or two good quality players in their sights who can provide cover for Willock and Chair.
'Permanent Blancmange' sounds like a prog album from 1976. The band was probably called Bearded Clam or Hair Pie or Stamped Bat. Something like that anyway. Bob Harris would have loved it and had them on Old Grey Whistle Test alongside JY Kelly, Spooge and country music sensation Buck Naked.
If we can do that, and have Dieng controlling the box (There's none better at our level imho), we'll be in with a shout. I think Amos could be a weak link in midfield, if he plays. Big season for him, he needs to find more consistancy and become a 90 minute player.
Absolutely, that would massively play into Dieng's hands (pun intended).
I like Amos, I just think he could use the support around him so he has the freedom to get forward. I think he needs to be crisper with his passing - too often he loses concentration and gets the simple pass wrong, which he needs to sort out if he's going to step up. I love the dynamism and energy from him though, running beyond the striker and getting into the box.
Indeed - it's somewhat dizzying to think we might have a coach who can improve the players we already have!
Agree, but have to say a lot of players improved under Warbs. I know we're all disappointed by the last 3 months of his reign, but he did a lot for the squad and a lot of players improved under him, Barbet, Dickie, Chair, Eze, Willock...

True, I'm just thinking of the Mastersons and Kakays of this world and the u23s who might really benefit.
Only Spooge's 1975 album 'All The Chung You Can Wang' comes close and, even then, not very. The 18 minute gong solo on side 3's 'Scare The Bee Gees Us (Out 'a' Me) Part 2' is a, frankly, harrowing experience.
'What do we want? We don't know! When do we want it? Now!'

I’ve a love/hate thing with Spooge. Ive got the ultra-rare Danish pressing of ‘Kiss My Artex’ one of the greatest Christmas records ever made. But every time I play it it destroys the record needle. I’m wondering could it be the white artex vinyl mashing up my delicate expensive styli.
