Marcus Bignot on 18:17 - Jul 8 with 1480 views | SheffieldHoop | Bignot has been involved with Birmingham ladies football club since 1998....Which if you listen to the women footballers and pundits of today, was a point in time when women's football might as well have not existed. He wrote about the work he did there in our matchday program, I'd guess around 2005 or 6. Clearly very committed to that club and to women's football. I notice he denied the charge but was found guilty regardless "On the balance of probabilities" - Wonder why after almost 25 years of working in women's football he'd suddenly turn into an outwardly abusive homophobe. Or maybe he's always been like it and women have been putting up with it, but somehow I doubt that. All seems a little bit strange if you ask me. But women should control women's football and if they wanted him out, then it's time to go. I hope he can get another job in the men's game. | |
