He did. Took him all of about 13 minutes to do it as well.

Can only remember Langley getting one against Blackpool away as well as the others - considering how long they played up front I don’t think Gallen or Furlong got one.

Poll: Now it’s slightly clearer cut who do you want as manager ?

Absolutely love this video. Proper Victor Meldrew at the end “no, no, I DON’T BELIEVE IT!”!! I could never work out why Derby hoofed the ball into touch at the end there instead of trying to keep possession (like they weren’t trying to run down the clock). It just gave us the throw in, which led to Paddy Kenny launching one final attack leading to Mackie’s equaliser! Happy days!!

Jesus! Let's hope Burley's comments were taken out of context, otherwise they were incredibly insensitive.

"Southampton boss George Burley:
"Without their keeper Lee Camp, and if we hadn't missed so many chances, it could have been 10.
"I haven't seen one of my teams create so many clear-cut chances in a long time. It is amazing how many we had.

"We knew it would be emotional with Ray Jones' family there. My job is to entertain the public and we did. The neutral would have enjoyed the match.""

My first ever away game, while visiting the UK in 2013. Great that Hill scored, but then so did Barton, though incorrectly disallowed. Met a fellow fan from Glasgow while walking back to the station and had a good chat.

It would seem somewhat self-evident that if playing against a team without a dedicated goalkeeper, you'd be likely to score more goals. Likewise you'd tend to think that not missing chances would be key to scoring goals.

Poll: QPR to finish 7th or Brentford to drop out of the top 6?

Was in the away end at that match and it could have been so much more than 3-0. That and the Stoke away match made me feel that we could re-establish ourselves as a PL side again.

15 years ago Brentford lose 3 0 at home to MK Dons in front of 4500 fans and go bottom of league 2.
Gives hope to any club how things can change
