| Deluded or what? 11:27 - Sep 15 with 5873 views | QPRSteve | Millwall manager Gary Rowett told BBC Radio London: "I felt it was a pretty even game. The disappointing thing for us is the only two efforts they've had in the second half they scored both of them." Thought we were head and shoulders above them. Also didn't realise this considering all the doom and gloom on the match thread ahead of kick off. "We always lose there", etc. From BBC "The Lions continued to work hard, but a late flurry aside, Johansen's goal put the seal on a comfortable evening for Rangers who have now lost just three times in 23 meetings with the Lions." | | | | |

For only the second time in six decades I left before the final whistle. Millwall are a mess. A soporific, directionless, inspiration-free mess. A non-team, playing rudderless. timid, unattractive football. Management seem quite happy with that." Also the fella with the long throw, all his throws were foul throws as both feet were on the playing field |

He seemed to ignore them at first and then one nearly hit him. Think this was when Tim was down.

| Deluded or what? on 18:30 - Sep 15 by PinnerPaul | Throws - see other thread. Only part of each foot has to be on (OR behind) the line - so perfectly legal - common misconception. Fans are always ott - in defeat or victory. Look at some of the threads on here after our defeats this season! |
Which other thread? So PP are the rules that feet should be on or behind the line or part of the feet on the line. This chaps feet were clearly inside the line with both feet in the playing area. Is this then ok? The ball has to begin its flight as it passes over the players head? This season our throw in play has been surprisingly good as in the past Qpr throw equals opposition in control of the ball within 2 touches.

Second half we were so comfortable, i never for a second thought we'd lose and that's unlike me. Millwall were so poor second half

Judging by some of the lardy-bellied diatribes on the semi-literate Millwall message boards, a lot of their fans would rather put up two to him!

- have part of each foot on the touchline or on the ground outside the touchline There we go. Only part of each foot has to be touching the line, that means that 95% of each foot can be on the field of play, as long as part of each foot is on the line. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

The foot has to wholly over the line for it to be a fail throw. It is far more common that a throw is fail because of the hands than the feet, but not are given.

I never quite got the foul throw thing. Why does 2 hands have to be on the ball and from behind the head? . I think it should be thrown on like a shot putt. Player has to at least spin twice before throwing.

Fanbase reaction seems to completely depend on the result without digging deeper and considering performance which was good but still allowed Millwall a lot of the ball and plenty of chances.

Not sure about the plenty of chances thing - I had to give Dieng a 6 because he had so little to do. Do agree we're very "results happy" as Beale puts it. A fortnight ago on here we might be getting relegated.

The stats are weirdly misleading. Anyone (apart from their dipstick of a manager, apparently) could see we were an absolute cut above them from start to finish, played almost all the football, and should have won 3-0 or 4-1. There's no point in having possession if you don't do anything with it, and they threatened us once or twice at most. That performance was pukka! [Post edited 16 Sep 2022 16:50]
