| Millwall deliver more pain, and a cautionary tale to woeful QPR - Report on 09:31 - Feb 14 by QPROslo | Maybe I missed it but in all this describing and counting of chances I've not seen the Dunne big chance close in and bang in front at the death which he belted over the bar, mentioned either in the report or comments. We certainly weren't great but absolutely deserved a point, and there weren't only negatives in the game described In overload here but some postives to take too as Antii has mentioned. Martin and Armstrong certainly gave me some hope that we may be more potent In front of goal in the coming games if they can stay fit. Chair slinging in some decent crosses from the left wing when Martin came on and gave him a target, rather than trying to do far too much himself, losing the ball and putting a number of speculative shots from distance well off target earlier. Laird receiving with his head and controlling the many accurate aerial Dieng long clearances out wide right in the absence of Dykes or Martin 1st half in particular. Not seen him given that role much before but it worked well. Both Dozzell and Johansen is probably one left footed player too many in the central midfield but Dozzell showed his passing ability again. I'd prefer to see Tim playing instead of one of them.when we play 3 in central midfield. |
Great post as always Oslo, agree with alot of your points and didnt pick up on a few key ones as you have.

From the penultimate paragraph of the report: "Another corner. Another scramble. More panic. It falls to Jimmy Dunne. It’s a good chance. It’s an ugly finish. High and not so handsome. The game is over."

I'll also stand corrected on Dunne being fairly flawless in the game as didnt see that Oliver Burke break open up at the time and as much as Dozzell, Field and Dickie could be harshly criticised, Dunne has the chance to commit the foul and did'nt, seemed to be one of his brain fade moments when he does'nt think quickly enough, only excuse could be if he was already on a yellow, but even so, that goal chance is down to him. I hav'nt given up on this team yet (Clarke Salter & Roberts aside) but they are so naive with 3 players having the chance to commit a foul in that move and all passing it up, similar to Field for the 1st goal, compare that to say Burnley, Sheff Utd, Luton to name a few of many, our player would have been taken out at the first opportunity.

| Millwall deliver more pain, and a cautionary tale to woeful QPR - Report on 16:57 - Feb 13 by Northernr | Even a cursory glance at the BBC stats will tell you that's not true - 11 Millwall shots, five on target, two goals, one goal disallowed. I give up. |
OK, 3 catches you and I would have made. We're in a bad place mate I get that, but we're counting goals disallowed as chances now are we? We deserved to lose yes, but not by the hatful you and the poster implied - its just not true

| Millwall deliver more pain, and a cautionary tale to woeful QPR - Report on 17:34 - Feb 13 by Northernr | Yeh I get that. I'm not saying we should have lost 5-1 either. I'm generally at the end of my tether atm. But I am definitely done with this "fine margins" stuff at the moment. The margins are vast. We're miles off and have been miles off for weeks. |
Fair enough, but I didn't mention fine margins. I was with you 100% v Luton - no way can a 3-0 be unlucky as some and Nick London implied, but Saturday wasn't the same at all - nowhere near good enough but not the same.
