We really need a good performance on Saturday to restore some faith in the Home Faithful. Can McNulty gee them up enough? Yes/No?

Usually a good sign James. Just posted elsewhere that Aldershot unbeaten in the last 6 national league games. They are also 4 wins in the last 5 games so in fine form. Positive tactics tomorrow and high tempo / intensity please..

Hopefully Jim really won't want the ignominy of being the manager that loses on Exiles Day

Indeed, attack attack attack.....etc. But if our lot can breach their defence and get right to the goal line, don't pass it sideways to a team mate, smash it in the net. Shoot when you can, Yorkies did it on Tuesday and we was humbled.

9 too many, James. Maybe I’m overreacting but I just can’t get my head around wanting your own team to lose a game. Perhaps one of those 9 could explain their reasoning but I won’t hold my breath, and I could probably guess who a few of them are anyway.

That we’re at a stage of the season where potential success on two fronts is achievable is somewhat of a first and, at the same time, we all totally understand the problems at the club right now, nobody can deny those. It’s beyond baffling that anyone would want their fellow supporters to miss out on celebrating that success, including a once in a lifetime cup winning experience, just so they can get what they’d prefer or to be somehow be proven right. It’s all a bit sad, we are better than this as Dale fans.

I can't get my head around lifelong loyal fans who choose to stay away from attending games because they don't like McNulty or his style of football and i know some who are actively doing that. McNulty is no different than Bentley, Coleman, Hill, Madden etc, they are all replaced eventually and another manager is brought in. They are only ever going to be in the job temporarily. If you decided to boycott games because you perceived the manager to be poor for whatever reason you would barely attend any games over the history of our club. The majority of our managers haven't been very good. Hiring and firing managers is a normal part of running a football club, they come and go like footballers. McNulty has been in the job a relatively long time now and although i think he's not the man to take us further, I'm not attending the upcoming games hoping to see us lose. That damages the club big time, all defeats do. It's the club who we ultimately support and deliberate non attendance damages it

The proven right thing is spot on and you can bet your life that certain people will reappear if the manger loses his job. Another thing that baffles me is that when we win a game he’s “Jim” but when we lose he’s “McNulty”. As I said in the poll thread, it’s buryesque.

Both Gordon and Rodney start. JM’s phrase “out for sometime”, which he used for both these players and Bird is interesting. I expected at the time that both the former would be out for most of the remainder of the season but here we are, both back. Does give hope that Bird will also be back for at least a few games this season. Bird is not the best all and end all for this team, but he should provide a spur to the other forwards to get their acts together. We can deffo, beat these today, will we? This season it’s a coin toss as to what sort of performance the supporters will see. C’mon lads give us the heads’up. UTD

Playing okay at the moment, Aldershot look slick but without much threat. re Gordon, there was a rumour circulating that he wasn’t actually injured…

So the captain who has arguably been our player of the season was available for selection and hasn't even made the bench? Much better half with some really positive football led by vintage Henderson.

And just as good as the square ball for Hendo to make it 4, much much better performance and carried on playing attacking after the first goal, making a decent Aldershot side look very poor so far.
