Thanks folks, I would say now that’s sufficient for one thread which was meant to be on the new coaching staff.

whilst i have no knowledge of this new set of coaches for goodness sake give them some slack not going to change things over night and with the amount of games coming up going to be a difficult situation.
I wish them all the best of luck and welcome

Not sure we needed to try all that hard to keep Cabango to be honest. He's likely to have a long career in the Championship but I doubt many PL teams will be gagging to sign him. Maybe he could do a job for a year or two in a well organised side, but he'd be an obvious one to upgrade on for a team planning on staying any longer than that.

A bit like Kyle Bartley. Not that there's any shame in that. He's had a much better career than a lot of people believed that he would when he left us.

In any case, most players know the score. They've worked under good coaches and bad coaches their entire careers (including youth) just to get to where they are. They've played in successful sides and struggling sides, it really is just a job for them.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

It’s what Vig does all the time,he never comes off his line and watches balls pass in front of him also for his height he should be good in the Air but isn’t

So WTF is “goalkeeping god” Martin Margettson doing about it? One job, he’s only got one responsibility and that is to coach our admittedly very good keeper into an excellent keeper by ironing out these flaws??

Bar being a coach who has been at the top tournaments in the world for England and continues the same role at Wales and Swansea his role is generally to coach our keepers across the board.Allegedly he has retained his position, something which the club would be very happy about.

We are taking one hell of a risk bringing in a manager and 3 assistants, with very limited knowledge of the league they’ve signed up for.
At this moment in time we are in a relegation battle.
Good luck to them doubling, or is it trebling their wages, who wouldn’t ?and obviously we all wish them nothing but the very best In trying to sorting this mess out.
I know this sounds a bit dramatic, but could this be the last throw of the dice as far as investors are concerned?
They’ll hardly want their names associated with failure, and the hiring and firing that’s been self evident since they became involved with Swansea City fc.
How did the owners and board become so successful in their businesses, when they make so many basic footballing intelligence mistakes, when it comes time to running a professional football club ?

Although that would be seen as a negative post ,it is absolutely on the money
We have to look at matters objectively without sentiment
Fact is , we are in shite, at the moment
However things can change and quickly in sport
Nobody can be “ confident” about Matos and all the “support” from loyal fans won’t help either as they have no control over the clubs vitals
Our owners made us believe they were ambitious and we lapped it up as we want success
It’s been a case of unrelenting disappointments
If that’s negative then tough
Life is tough

We cannot afford to drop

Finally , what has been the effect of Deputy Dog and Modroc?

Poll: Christmas. Enjoyable or not

Yes, because moaning about a manager who hasn’t even signed yet is really useful.

Our spending in the summer seemed to be heavily reliant on increased revenue in this financial year. After listening to the Gorringe interview that is expected to come from increased comercial revenue, particularly the Modric and Snoop Dogg effect. If we do not improve dramatically will brand Modrick and Snoop Dogg still want to be associated with us, it might well be damaging them personally from a commercial point of view. Will new commercial investors find us an attractive option? This is one hell of a throw of the dice, I really hope it comes off or we are buggered.

This is true, but it would have been whoever we appointed now.

Sheehan/Sheehan and O’Dea were the mistake, albeit no one can blame them for appointing him at the time.

Hitting the ground running in August was the opportunity. A steady Eddie isn’t going to fix that now, we need to think outside the box and it looks like we’ve done that by going straight after Hellberg and moving on to a backup plan as soon as that fell apart.

I can see your point of view, but I would have preferred someone with a bit more experience. It's a gamble and I hope it comes off but its high risk. Tomorrow I'll be there cheering and hoping for the best, but its the hope that kills you.

I think the fact the coaching team has been replaced will alter things ,if you only change the manager but the coaches are the same as before then not much will change
A clean sheet ,hopefully getting the best out of our squad

I get it, but I don’t think we could have afforded someone with experience who was also successful and played attractive football (which is probably also high on the list of we’re trying to increase exposure).

Tomorrow, I’m guessing he won’t pick the team? Saturday, I don’t think we’ll play very differently. He’s got a week with the squad then before Oxford at home. Hopefully that’s the game we start to see how he wants us to play.

One sale in the summer and it will be all squared off easily.

I think we have to accept that will happen.

Possession based , I read
Didn’t want to read that shite

Possession based but with very quick transitional play. More emphasis on getting the ball forwards through the lines. He likes to see his players shoot on sight so for me if they buy in …

He does though need to sit down and review Ronald at this moment in time, onnthe ball on the wing he can be okay, crossing is absolutely shocking.

As long as we are back to developing players with a high sell on we will progress. If we are in the bottom 8 I don't believe we will get the same return as if we are in the top 8. But that's only my opinion.

Galbraith will be of interest to many clubs, especially those that come down. Not sure he is all round Premier League quality but the Swans are in a very decent position if there is interest,. We have to accept that.

I’m being my usual positive self and can see the Swans easily top ten once the machine gets going.

Thank the footballing gods for that.
I wonder if mr klopp will be on the other end of the phone to help his old buddy out.
What style of football is Matos known for?

I am going to have to watch some highlights of his team playing in 🇵🇹.
Perhaps this season can be saved 🙏.

I’m sure Klopp will be on the phone to help out. Any money saved with cheap hotel rooms can be reinvested into the squad.

I'm normally very optimistic mate but we have been kicked in the teeth so many times the last couple of seasons its demoralising. I was extremely excited about this season after the summer but we seem worse than ever. I have no confidence in the recruitment set up because it seems very hit and miss, we have signed a couple of excellent players, a couple of good players and several who don't seem to fit. We haven't built a team. Now that could 100% be down to the coaching, but even if the coaching is bad players should still be able to beat a man, shoot and defend. Hopefully Matos will come in and turn the team around and get them all playing well and then the recruitment team can be praised for recruiting the manager and the players, but the track record so far is not good in my opinion.

A winger who can’t take a man on, or can’t cross a ball.
Not a good combo ! 😩😩
He should be the first one out the door
Why he was practically the first name on Sheehan’s team sheet, says it all why he’s gone.

Ronald is incredible.
He plays nothing like a Brazilian and lacks basic skills
Then we have Eon ,possibly the most easily disposessed in this league.
Whatever ability he has is negated by his sheek physical weakness.
Im hoping young B Wales gets a chance and Widdell is given a real go
