Did the same double header as you Paddox. Five goal thriller and a win and then walked down to the Apollo, stopping for a ruby on the way. Did think life doesn’t get much better than this! Baxter was on great form, gig was a triumph. Nice to see a generation-spanning crowd too. Got a bit mental at the front (in a good way) when he played Allbarone! Top night!

I can relate to that... hopefully I will be just as lucky in April when I will be in London. First it is QPR vs. Bristol City and in the evening The Damned at Wembley Arena. Hopefully I don't have to drown my sorrows...

This put me on to Allbarone. What a tune. And surely made for a Richard Kone chant…
Brilliant, let’s hope the song becomes well known and tricky Dicky (Kone) gets his form back.
The closest I got to a Kone song was chatting to a Bristol City fan in a pub during an international break just after we signed him. We were talking about squads and hopes for the season and all that and he says oh you’ve got Kone, I was hoping we’d get him. Almost immediately I replied in the voice of Phil Oakey of the Human League ..
We’ve got Richard Kone! We’ve got Richard Ko-oh-nay! You were playing as a forward in the homeless World Cup When I saw you
That’s about as far as it I got and like Fermat’s Last Theorem it remains unresolved.
Just to add - remains unresolved due to forgetfulness and distraction rather than death.

Well, as I understand it, Fermat’s Last Theorem was proved in 1994 by Andrew Wiles (formally published in 1995). This in turn proved much of the Taniyama-Shimura conjecture, subsequently known as the modularity theorem, and opened up entirely new approaches to numerous other problems and mathematically powerful modularity lifting techniques (which we needn’t concern ourselves with here). I thought this was common knowledge. Admittedly it doesn’t get us any closer to solving the Richard Kone Song Conundrum (I doubt Mr Wiles is/was a QPR fan) but I think that Messrs Paddox and Faurlinho deserve much credit here for getting the ball rolling.

That modularity theorem is all well and good but does it work in 442 guise on a rainy day in Norwich?
Kone requires some heavy lifting atm it seems

I've definitely posted this at least once before -- I'd be fascinated to know how often we've all repeated ourselves over the years, even just on the Frankie Knuckles thread... -- but after the promotion game at Hillsborough I went to a Rapture gig at the Octagon in Sheffield, absolutely steaming, and at some point in between tunes, implausibly, the bass player started doing the bass line to Pig Bag. So obviously I'm drunkenly bellowing out "HOOPS!" and not one person around me would have understood why.
