I am not not sure what to make of this all. I do not see enough games to know. When I have watched we are clearly better and clearly everyone knows what is expected of them etc. What I have not seen and do know, so will ask you guys, is he one of those managers who studies opposition to the degree he knows exactly how to beat them? Seems that way to me. But as I say, I cannot see so many games sadly.
If we do not go up, will he stay? The form we are on right now it is a shame the play offs don't start now as we would win it I believe. I just hope we don't take the old foot of the gas later. But it seems TE does not allow this and learns from all his previous mistakes, no cup hangover last night like there was at WBA. Superb. |  | | |

Took a bit of time but reverting to a back four helped the centre halfs out and with a decent keeper we look so much better at the back. Getting Larin in and Stewart back gets us up the pitch and allows us to play on the front foot rather than sideways possession going no where football. He also wanted a smaller squad so got rid of a few. I think he studies the opposition and has a clear game plan. The other thing is how the players seem to really enjoy playing for him. He’s an excellent manager just hope we can keep him. |  |

In his recent press conference, Blackmore asked him whether the win at Cov helped in terms of going to Wrexham in terms of giving the players confidence and he seemed a bit irritiated by the question.
'They are completely different games' he snapped back.
He talked a lot about 'turning the page' quickly on each game but not thinking about the next one until then.
He also said something interesting about some things that can be prepared for on a game by game basis but others having to harder wired. I think this was in the context of a question of preparing for Wrexham's habit of coming strong at the end. He said that the resilience to withstand that was built months ago and couldn't simply be upped for an individual game.
So he is very much game by game, he used to be an analyst so he knows how to read an opposition but he also knows about building strong foundations over time.

But we must give some of the credit to the players, they have had to adjust their games away from the terrible Russell Martin tactics & systems.

It's amazing to think at the beginning of the season under Will Still the players reverted to f**ing Russball for most of the game. Now we play such a fast attacking game, Tonda takes all the credit for breaking that mindset. | |
