God alive silly season starts earlier every year 🤣
Credit for the rumour goes to Tom Coleman and whoever he ‘borrowed’ it from.
See Tom it isn’t hard to give a credit to the original author ✍️

It might be down to how he trains
Apparently
He’s worth a go surely
We need change
We need energy
He was brought in to give us this

Or it could be a lack of self discipline as shown when he was sent off.

He’s got very little positional discipline and he plays with his head down, which means he often isn’t aware of where teammates and opponents are. Consequently, he loses the ball cheaply, sometimes deep in our half.

But he’s also got incredible desire and intensity. He’s quick, he’s aggressive and conversely to the point above, he’s very likely to win the ball in dangerous areas. He wins 30/70s, let alone 50/50s.

He’s literally just raw, but he has huge potential. Matos’ ideology will be perfect for him as long as he has the discipline to ‘hunt with the pack’.

If we were higher in the table then ok but I’m not sure ‘raw with potential’ is exactly what we need at this point in time.

We’re desperately lacking spark and intensity.

I’m not sure I’d be starting him, but I’d certainly be using him a lot from the bench. When most opponents bring subs on, they impact the game. Ours don’t usually make much difference. He’s the type that would.

Good reply
Frankly, he’s no different to most then
Our right back has zero positional discipline yet he’s perma picked no shatter what
He loses the ball almost every time unless he passes it back
He can’t be any worse than what we have
Same applies to Wales
Raw? I’d have that if it means our current team is cooked

Then why bring him on
Like Benson , a waste of a loan
Crass decisions have cost us

Despite me often criticising Whittaker and Obafemi, the ex player I dislike the most is Conor Hourihane, because he had a lot of ability, but played like he couldn’t care less.

I may be wrong, but Benson gives me similar vibes.

Agreed but players like Yalcouye or even Ronald, Eom and Innoussa can all to differing standards add some spark but they need to be played the ball to run onto at speed. Our game has to fundamentally change do that players like these receivers the ball in as much space as possible snd importantly, in the move not static. Matis has to get us more fluid before these players will have the impact they are capable of.

The difference between Yalcouye and those three is he can win possession in the opponents half and go at them quickly while their defence isn’t set.

He’s not that great on the ball, but he’s fantastic at disrupting and winning it. He has his faults, but he’s much less reliant on being played in than our wingers.

I think Yalcoure could thrive under Matos tactics of high energy/high press. He won't stop running and has more quality than Cullen who has a similar desire to challenge and win the ball back.

Agree with a previous poster that our right side looks weak and should be the main focus in January along with another experienced CB to put more pressure on Cabango and Burgess.

He wasn’t that glowing in his Oxford pre match.
