If we can get Madsen and Vale playing like that consistently for the final 16 games we could be very dangerous. Certainly a partnership we have to grow. Shout out for Bennie as well. He is still only 19. He will be picked up for losing his man for the goal but I thought he worked very hard as the 'water carrier' between Vale and Madsen. It reminded me at times of the role Ian Holloway played for us. Constantly mopping up and linking play. Well done that lad.
Otherwise, I thought the defence looked really sound and Kone was everything you want in a number 9 in that match.
Let's hope the Dembele injury isn't as bad as it sounds but considering this is a weakened team and squad, and considering that the Wrexham game could have been a season killer, they reacted well. So credit to the gaffer, the coaching team and the team. They didn't panic at 2-1 and they played some really nice stuff, on a pitch not really made for football.
Let's also hope they can now take some confidence and belief into the Charlton game on Friday. We are very much due an away performance and an away win, particularly against some old team mates and a manager who for reasons best known to himself, really dislikes us.
I’d been trying to work out how Richard Kone managed to score from that position. If you look at the video angle at about 7 minutes 12seconds you can see just what a clever finish it was.
Also thought he was very unlucky not to score with his looping header in the first half.

It was a really great finish and very clever. Amazing what can happen when a good ball is delivered from the wide area.

What a finish!
It's a cracking move. Great defending by multiple players to force the turnover, nice two touches by Bennie, then the weight on Vale's pass is incredible, allowing Madsen to have a long look up without touching the ball to pick out a lovely passed cross (not just hitting an area) for Koné...and that's just a great, great finish.

Thanks for pointing that out, FG-R.
I might have missed that.

I love that we have a player in Madsen with real technical ability. It's been a very long time coming, but boy, we have a diamond of a player on our hands.
And as bosh says, with not just Vale, who is really starting to show his class, but also Bennie showing he can compete at this level (and will only get better I feel), and then add the Rolls Royce of a defender that is Ronnie Edwards, and we are beginning to see the makings of a really good side coming together, with a manager to match them. I think next season - with all the usual caveats - could be a good one for us.
And finally, just want to add that for me, Walsh, who gets a lot of flak on some sites - is still getting his confidence back after a tough start as our No.1, followed by breaking his wrist. But I feel he is also going to kick on from here, and as his confidence grows, we'll discover we have a fine keeper at this level.

That goal is class, press gets us the ball, instantly controlled and then played into the middle, one touch from Vale to Madsen, who also does a one-touch cross to Kone, who with one touch scores.
Total Football.
Also, on the winner, if the Cov keeper does not palm it, Bennie scores, so QPR forced that goal as well. When Madsen runs up and down, then we shall always score.

I couldn’t bear to come on here at all this week - still haven’t watched the highlights or even read Norf’s match report, but I can’t stay off here today.
I suppose some can't wait to pile on here after a loss, some of us just stay away.
Glory hunters, eh?
You fckin R’s.
I need a SAGA. What’s the SAGA? It’s ….. Queen’s Park Rangers.
