He seems reasonably equainimous, and even chipper, having been out-played and out-thought/prepared. My one mild curiosity was the timing of 'it's been a good week' mantra (2.01) - it's like product placement, isn't it? Apparently, the analysis is 'simple' - they were miles better - and so there are 'no complaints'. That's all right then - no need for any kind of debrief or struggle up a learning curve (especially if it's mid-week and we have to get on an exhausting bus for a couple of hours first)!
It's not about blaming, it's about intelligent critique, and learning - as the manager himself says - about how we could and should strive to do better.

I'm referring to those who claim that if only this or that player was picked or this or that formation was used, we wouldn't have lost. After every defeat. The ones that somehow are more qualified than the manager.
We are learning and improving, I think that's obvious. We also have several players and a manager who are new to this division.

Not sure that's really fair. I think we would have lost regardless of formation etc, but we should make it as difficult as possible for the opposition.
Personally I think JS got it wrong and should have gone three in midfield, something pointed out in Clives pre match writeup.

Possibly playing Varane and Hayden as a holding 2 in front of the back 4 in away games would help us cope in midfield in some away games. That does potentially mean only playing one up top but may avoid us getting overrun?
Not sure why the thread is down voted? Just putting up the video!

It was just because JS didn`t want to take any blame for the defeat. My downvote was not aimed at you as such..:)

Okay fair enough.
To be fair I think he does shoulder blame for it by not criticising his players. He didn't react quickly enough but I think he knows the set up should have been adjusted much sooner. For me next week is a huge test against Marti. He really does need to try and get that one right selection wise.

if this or that player was picked or this or that formation was used, we wouldn't lose a single game all season. It’s quite easy really.

He did t react atall , thats the issue we could see it was horribly wrong everyone could see it was horribly wrong,he changed things as usual round 6o mins in stead of saying at halftime
time to make some so subs . Hate to say it will be the same on sat and likely the same result .

We still would have lost but maybe we would have put up a better fight
Mine was just a tongue-in-cheek remark about how post-match analysis often suggests how we could have avoided defeat but if you apply that to every game, then we go the season undefeated!
It's pointing out that it's highly unlikely that will happen so maybe banging on about it each time is a bit fruitless.
Only Preston (in 1888-89) and Arsenal (2003-04) have done that, in the top flight at least. Can't find any data for the other three divisions.

I'm not sure how you can say with confidence that JS made 0 adjustments at HT, I thought we looked like a completely different team and I'll back that up with the stark difference in stats comparing 1st and 2nd half below
I think there's an issue here sometimes with posters completely oversimplifying the job of a manager at this level. A change doesn't have to just be a substitution, the same 11 players can be on the pitch but with big adjustments tactically
From pre-season trying to play with a false 9 and building up from the back every time to a 442 direct with two actual 9's, how can you continue to doubt his willingness to adjust?
