Can the players just imagine Marti is their manager?

Thanks Clive.

Kill the game, extra midfielder, 25% possession, sh!thousing masterclass. Get the 0-0 and back to Loftus Road. Job done.
It's not popular, but sometimes you just have to be pragmatic.

It'll be a 4-4 thriller now.

Cheers Clive, hectic time for you too. I think re the hectic schedule, the way the Christmas fell this year meant there was a longer gap between the Leicester and Portsmouth games than usual. But I don't think the players should be roo concerned about another game tonight. If they weren't playing they would be training and I think most if not all players would choose a game over a training session. Have to manage the load alright. If (which I don't believe) it's RND's last game then play him, if not, play Field. Mbengue will have to be wary of Johnstone cutting inside and has presumably being told about this. Hopefully Chair fit to be involved and Smyth/Poku should start

Any recommendations for pubs near the ground? Seem to recall the Vine was popular

Utterly ridiculous we are playing again tonight, Thursday and then again on Sunday. There really is no need to squeeze this many games in over Christmas.

I nearly put 0-0 tbh but feared looking daft if it all blows out.

It's been going on for decades! The only difference now is that clubs (and some fans) feel it's acceptable, and even compulsory, to whine about it.

Maybe. But there will be sizeable crowds at most games.

Well this. There has been so much comment on the ‘mad Christmas fixtures’ that I was wondering if an extra game had been added? Surely it’s been ever thus? I remember a few years ago, a ‘winter break’ was suggested (possibly only in the Prem) and everybody was up in arms as it was ‘breaking with tradition’.

For those who were near Kolli in the away end on Boxing Day, was he giving much away as to how long he'll be out for?

It may have been but the idea is to learn what works or doesn't from previous seasons. We eventually learnt not to play on consecutive days due to poor quality football, fatigued players and probably injuries.
It's not as if the 29th December is anything special.or traditional. It's a normal working day for many people.
The 1st January only became a public holiday in 1974. Before that, for almost a century, there were no fixtures in England and Wales on New Year's Day, unless it was a regular Saturday.
I also seem to recollect (not certain) there have been some years since 1974 without matches on the first day of the year.
So I don't think it has been the same for decades.
Let's see if you can take an alternative view into consideration and maybe modify your position, even a little.😁

I would suggest that an "extra" league game has been added.

If Boxing Day was on a Wednesday, it would likely to be league games on 26/12, 29/12, 1/1 with the FA Cup being played on 5/1.
