One thing that I do like about this, and I know I mentioned in the piece about it being a good sign he wanted to come back having been here before, is that I do like having QPR fans involved. Whether he is himself it sounds like most of the family is. That was a big part of what Ian Holloway built first time around, getting people here who care about the club and want it to succeed and want to be here because it's QPR. |

I watched him play v Norwich in the league cup at the start of the season and he looked just as accomplished as he was on loan to us. Just cruised through the game, unruffled, slipping passes into the midfield etc. I’m a bit nervous about the money we’ve spent due to weaknesses elsewhere which may not be addressed as a consequence BUT what a signing. He has the potential to play at the highest level and could realistically be sold for a massive profit having had a big impact on us in the interim. Surely this can’t go tits up. | | | |

We could sell Dunne in the summer for some serious wedge too, possibly. Club captain, versatile, reliable, leader, a totem of the club - sort of guy Birmingham might buy for too much or a newly relegated team - let's say West Ham, who will need defenders and experience, and are addicted to spending too much.
Selling Jimmy Dunne to one of the above or Chris Wilder for £7-10 million at 28, at the top of his game having signed for very little and rinsed the best from him...that would be the development model if Ronnie Edwards is the replacement. |

JCS has at least one more season, if not two under contract. Was given a big extension only 18 months ago, I think it was.

He may still be in the building, taking a wage we can ill afford, but will no doubt be keeping company with his now close mates in the treatment room.
The need for a permanent, reliable fixture in that LCB role has now been filled.
