| Four minutes of madness – Report on 16:50 - Jan 26 by Northernr | It's pretty consistent TBH, but certainly it seems lots of people can't face this one yet. |
I've only just managed to watch the highlights. Tried to block it out but it ruined my Saturday night out with the wife and the whole of Sunday. After 50 years I should be used to it but this one will stick around for a while. The real annoying part is every time we have a shot of getting in the play offs we fluff our lines........every bloody time.

| Four minutes of madness – Report on 17:05 - Jan 26 with 1146 views | queensparker | Great report - I have stayed off here since Saturday as was genuinely gob-smacked by that game and didn’t want to knee-jerk it or read any moaning. My 9 year old was inconsolable afterwards for ages! Felt guilty for putting him through it In the cold light of Monday night we played really well for long periods, Madsen was excellent, Vale at 10 was too (in the first half), and it was shaping up for an enjoyable game and result and 5 point haul over three games. Football can be a right fker sometimes. Losing it to Wrexham with all that entails made it worse - their fans were sound, but I can’t help but think if they get anywhere this season we’re going to be watching those last few minutes over and over and over again. Haven’t watched back the replays but that last shot looked like it went right through Walsh, I don’t reckon Nardi would have let that in. | | | |

Walsh should definitely do far better with both the injury time goals. But before we even get to the shot for the third, look at this screenshot and tell me how we turned that into a goal against. How do you concede from here? You look at that and you would say the favourite is a big Jimmy Dunne right footed clearance down the field. Second favourite is Walsh calls and falls on the ball. Incredibly, neither of them get to that ball first. Our lad to the left (Bennie?) beats them both to it and chips a terrible left footed clearance barely to the edge of the box.
| Four minutes of madness – Report on 17:16 - Jan 26 with 1068 views | 7374Ranger | An excellent report Clive. That last 4 minutes was like something that the Sky dream team writers would probably have written and then said was too unbelievable. As for the McLaren season theory, I have taken a look at the remaining fixtures and there are plenty of games where QPR often struggle to get the one from. Games at home to the likes of Coventry, Middlesbrough, Sheffield Utd, Bristol City, Blackburn, Derby and Swansea. Some of them nearly always end up in defeat or if lucky a draw. Then there are the away fixtures at Ipswich, Birmingham, Hull, Southampton, Leicester and London derbies at Charlton (Friday night live on Sky - usually ends in defeat) and Millwall. 14 fixtures that could end in disaster, especially with an injury depleted squad. 14 points from that lot would just about keep QPR out of the bottom 4, but a top half finish would be out of reach. | | | |

Walsh should be screaming keepers ball and claiming that all day long. Just dive on top of the thing and if any Wrexham player puts a foot in it's a free kick to us (in theory, although with that ref who knows). Ends 2-2 and we go home with some sanity maintained.

We’re definitely seeing that now. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

| Four minutes of madness – Report on 19:39 - Jan 26 with 805 views | NewYorkRanger | Can't claim this as my own, but someone on X just posted that if Warnock was the manager we don't lose that game. Got me thinking and it's probably true. I'm definitely not one for bashing JS - I'm enjoying not constantly worrying about relegation - but this was a capitulation for the ages. I don't put much value into football managers interviews - they generally don't say anything of interest - but I would like to hear a bit more ownership on this one rather than the usual 'tough day at the office/must learn lessons/we go again' type of nonsense. With a different manager we do not lose that game. I think we are owed a bit more after that utter sh*tshow | |

| Four minutes of madness – Report on 20:08 - Jan 26 with 721 views | jtuck | Watching from afar on stream so may be wrong about this... But thought game management was all wrong well before fatal last 4 minutes. There was this logged at 85 mins by BBC..... Attempt missed. Isaac Hayden (Queens Park Rangers) right footed shot from outside the box is too high. Assisted by Rayan Kolli. Hayden not gonna score. Head for the corner. Keep the ball. Dark arts. Made a mental note of that Hayden shot. Anyway, v good and measured report Clive so thank you. Helped me process my sporting trauma. | |

| Four minutes of madness – Report on 20:25 - Jan 26 with 679 views | R_from_afar | Thanks, as ever, for the report, grim read that it is. I do wonder if the decisions about substitutions are not made by JS alone. Perhaps Williams has a big say in them. I also believe that as a club, we are developing a morbid fear of the obvious, to wit: - We lack quality central midfielders. The much coveted Edwards can play there, but he is yet to feature at all. - We're not exactly awash with quality strikers at the moment. Then, we sign Obikwu. Why not put him on the bench and give him 20 minutes or so? Putting away chances is a basic skill in this game, especially when, like us, you rarely create a hatful of chances. For years, we have been profligate in front of goal and have been punished by more clinical teams time and time again. Cardiff three shots, QPR twenty, we lose 3-0, for example. When, if ever, is this going to be addressed? Or is it beneath our coaches and players? We seem to be constantly overthinking things and neglecting the basics. Why? Grrrr [Post edited 26 Jan 20:34]

Yes, he should have claimed that ball and as you said, if he had been awarded a free kick for any contact, the time used up to take that free kick would probably seen the final whistle blown.

'Wrexham smelled blood'. They saw the fatigue, loss of the most physical player(s), and finally could see efforts on goal. not following game plan, Dembele lost effectiveness, reverting to type. keeper showing his youth. ...sorry ranting.

| Four minutes of madness – Report on 08:18 - Jan 26 by Wegerles_Stairs | Hull are under a transfer embargo ffs. |
Yes they are but managed to bring in Oli McBurnie on a free (4 year contract though on a big salary I’m guessing so it’s a gamble on a 29 year old) and Joe Gelherdt from Leeds on loan. The former has got 11 goals and six assists and the latter ten goals and two assists. They also spent £31 million last season (largely funded by selling Philogene and Greaves) and £11 million the season before so not exactly bare bones. Transfer embargoes are not always the punishment they first appear.

Not going to disagree as I've no idea what the injury record was at his previous clubs but if you have 30-odd players who can play 1st team football (questionable) and 10 of them are unavailable because they're injured, it kind of forces your hand.
