| Four minutes of madness – Report on 09:34 - Jan 26 by mart_Goblin | Yes likewise Steve. I didn’t realise until I caught a clip of it in the Forever R’s bar afterwards . Really poor. However the few left in the bar were all blaming him for the 3rd goal much more . I take slight issue with that . I think he needs to move his feet quicker for sure . But sometimes a goal keeper is just beaten by pure pace . And I think we should be looking at the 3 or 4 hooped shirts standing off of Rathbone and not stopping that source before we look at Walsh . Once again only my opinion as I know others disagree . |
The third goal the ball swerved back towards Walsh right at the last moment and seemed to go through him. Shame because on the whole I thought he had a good game and had made some good saves. But it was a terrible flap that led to the second goal. Seems none of our keepers are especially good with crosses.

| Four minutes of madness – Report on 10:31 - Jan 26 with 1512 views | Northolt_Rs | It’s all about standards and our football club has none from the absentee owners, the manchild Nourry, the increasingly indecisive Stephan, the ‘fitness’ staff, Steve Bould (who?), that pitch(!), all the way down to the gutless players. Where’s the pride? I see the Frenchman has got his excuse in early for the Coventry match saying it will be a very difficult game…. How about saying he is mortified about what his team did to us fans v Wrexham and he can’t wait to put it right v Coventry? Have some bollocks for once. [Post edited 26 Jan 13:21]

| Four minutes of madness – Report on 11:06 - Jan 26 with 1425 views | ParkRoyalR | Excellent report, learnt a few things I did'nt see at the game, including: 1) Dunne having the sense to call for a late time-out with Walsh but somehow we even managed to fxxk that up, 2) Field dropping in as a 3rd Centre Back rather than in that advanced CDM role which made sense if we had defensive minded midfielders on the on the pitch, but we only had Hadyn, For the first time this season? we started with our 'ballers' without a recognised defensive Midfielder, the result being an excellent 1st Half performance, then we ran out of gas at Half Time, Injury time debacle was an extreme example of what we saw in the 45 minutes before, the mix between 'ballers' and 'grafters' was all wrong, Stephens need to get the balance right and this is where his substitutions are key & keeping players on it for 90 minutes. | | | |

Agree with you. On the tv it does look saveable but tv tends to somehow take the speed out of the ball, at the ground it was bullet like, only needs a tiny bit of movement and a keeper stands no chance. In the end, that wouldn’t have come to pass if he’d made what should have been an elementary catch or at worst, a decent punch, for their equaliser.

I think the fact we all saw Dunne to this with Walsh probably means the ref saw it as well which is why the ref told him to just get up. We just needed to keep the ball rather than play dead and just get more time added on | | | | Login to get fewer ads

| Four minutes of madness – Report on 00:51 - Jan 26 by cuppahoop | From the School end, the moment the equaliser went in & they’re player raced to pick the ball out of the net to get play restarted told me they knew we were there for the taking & so it proved regardless we were down to 10..poor game management is the only conclusion.. |
I noticed that too. Most away teams would have settled for a point at that stage, but they knew we were in big trouble.

| Four minutes of madness – Report on 12:51 - Jan 26 with 1098 views | CornieRanger | I'm hoping that the sting of this might get a reaction from them and they'll come into the Coventry match with a point to prove as Birmingham best Coventry which proves they can be got at. It's frustrating and disappointing but there's life and I think this one comes down to not making the right subs in hindsight to close the match out and hopefully it will be a lesson learned. I'm not going to get too down on everything yet as I honestly thought this would be another season scrapping away and worrying about relegation. I'm hoping we can fi ally see Edwards this weekend and maybe the new striker as well for a cameo. | | | |

I think we'll beat Coventry. It's the sort of thing we do. Backs to the wall 1-0.

I don't think you're the only one mate, it's lagging about 1,600 views behind the report of the 0-0 at Oxford as it stands
| Four minutes of madness – Report on 13:59 - Jan 26 with 944 views | terryb | It has to be a problem that we have so many different thoughts on what system we "used" to try to see out the game. Personally, I thought Norrington-Davies moved to right back & Field to left back to keep a four. Whatever, it was meant to be, it didn't work! | | | |

I think the fact no one seems to know who went to right back after Mbengue's dismissal, speaks for itself! But as Mbengue left the pitch, Dunne and Kone were in deep discussion with the manager as to what to do next. What was communicated was either the wrong strategy, or the players failed to implement it. Fair play to Wrexham though who just targeted that flank as soon as we were down to ten men; we just didn't have the ability or fitness (...) to stop crosses coming in, which we couldn't then clear effectively either. Hence the goals conceded.

By yesterday evening, I'd actually managed to get over the shock / disappointment of the last 5 mins. As soon as I read Clive's report, it all came flooding back. Still worth a read though.

OK so looking at the last four minutes again, it seems RND had moved over to right back, assume Field went to left back. In hindsight would have been a good idea to keep hold of that 89th minute corner. But Kone hits the bar, keeper takes the ball and the next passage of play leads to the red card. Even at 2-2 we had chances to properly clear the ball, Kolli had one but only got as far as their defender on halfway. Then before Bennie sliced his for their winner, Walsh had the chance to grab the ball and eat up the remaining seconds. OH WELL. [Post edited 26 Jan 15:50]

Do the number of views of the match reports vary depending on whether we have won or lost? Or do away reports get more views than home matches? I always read the reports irrespective of the results but wondered if overall numbers are affected by the result?
