But I am more concerned about the 2 easier chances that he missed.
We could have been in plus goal difference.
Which could matter if we are in the mix at the end of the season.
It would be heartbreaking if we got the points then missed out by a couple of goals.
I hope he can put this right because his hold up play and distribution is very good

That's true.
I have absolutely no issues with his performances in most of his games this season.
He is young and learning to adapt to a higher level of football.
He played well and kept going even though visibly tiring. He will get better .
Well done to him and the team at Hull.
An injury depleted squad with 6 attacking players out and managed to win away at Hull to make it 3 wins in a row against them for the 1st time in history if I recall correctly. | | | |

I think it's a huge stretch to put the blame on him if we don't make the play offs (which I don't think we'll do anyway).
The guy is clearly not fully fit, leading the line without Burrell, but still turning up every game putting in a big shift.

For me this lad is doing some things that we haven't seen from our strikers for many years. First - as per the old cliche - missing chances can be seen as a positive as he's in the right place in the right time to get them. Second - there have been a few goals here and there that I just don't believe the likes of Dykes and Celar would have scored. Saturday's being one. Wrexham away another good example. He's not consistent with it yet but he does have an ability to be lethal. He's had games where he's only really had half a chance over 90 minutes and he's walked away with a goal to his name. That is such a valuable ability / tendency.
I think his build up play has got better and better all season presumably as he's adjusting to the pace and physicality of the division. If he could turn into Kevin Gallen with his back to goal and grow as a consistent finisher he'll be a huge asset and a will likely fetch big money.
He has been frustrating at times no doubt but the development job here is to make the good things more consistent. With Celar and Dykes it felt like the development job were to find some good things. |  | | |

would love to see the club bring in somebody like austin to work with the strikers to show them a few tricks , worked for a while with dykes and could only benefit kone burrell maybe even kolli who once again sat didnt do much to make him an automatic first choice up front , |  |

I'm a bit incredulous about this thread, particularly having suffered years of utter dross up front...how there can be anything other than satisfaction with Kone and excitement about how the future for us looks for us if we can retain him, is beyond me. |  |

I don't think it's a case of being misunderstood my good man. I think it's a case that many feel GD is based on a season and every player and the manager is responsible. Not one bloke in one game.
