Yes, he has shown some real snippets of class this season and when or if Ilias does come back a la Clarke Salter, can see Vale starting with Chair on the Bench, possibly Harvey selected ahead of Chair consistently when both fit. [Post edited 22 Mar 5:40]

I've been impressed with vale everytime I've watched QPR this season. He loves to run with the ball and drives the game up the pitch,he is very handy with set pieces too.

I wouldn't go over the top on basis of any one game, but I've long thought that he's our best playmaker after Madsen and it's pretty crucial we have more than one player in that role.
Ditto Kolli and Burrell. (Not sure what we do if Kone gets a long injury, suppose we'll just have to see how a Koli-Burrell combo works.)
Stephane's reputation here seems to go up and down after every good or bad result, but I'd say that if he walked out tomorrow he'd leave us in vastly better shape in the spine of the side (central defence, central midfield and strikers) than we were last summer. | | | |

Vale is an excellent player and if and when we do get all our players back fit we will have an abundance of riches in midfield except for the defensive area. Hayden is OK but Verane is atrocious. Even during his 40 minutes on the pitch yesterday his display was insipid to say the least and a couple of half-arsed clearances could have led to goals. Get rid for the best price and either get Field back or find someone who is prepared to get hurt and also play football a bit. | |

At Oxford last season when we really needed a result, Madsen and Varane rose to the occasion and were excellent. Since then the former has performed consistently at a very high level whilst the latter has spiralled downwards.
If Varane doesn't leave this summer, we really need a shrink to get inside his head and get him going again. | | | |

Absolutely. Sure we haven’t missed Chair at all this season. Not to mention associating one of our greatest servants over the past decade with a shyster like JCS, is beyond disingenuous. [Post edited 22 Mar 22:40]
