In the 4 or 5 years SR have been here we've had 2 relegation, one promotion in the middle obviously, but that led to the most humiliating season in the clubs history (well in my 50 or 60 odd years following Saints) and were a laughing stock
And now this debacle where we are not only a laughing stock and an embarrassment, but also it seem the most hated club in the country by both fans and media/press throughout with a reputation as a cheating club
SR have well and truly fkd our club up and the sooner they are gone the better
And don't say SR didn't know about the :spying", they are at the top of the tree and employed all that did knowingly cheat

He personally was being led by China maybe, but from an SFC viewpoint he was our main man. If he had issues from his dictatorship, that was his problem and it affected the strategies used to run the club | |

Every friend I know that actually goes to games (including Luton, Chelsea, West Ham, Ipswich, QPR, Arsenal - even portsmouth and others) thinks the penalty is excessive. The spying they regard as pathetic but minor and in the scale of things. Sure, they'll take the piss for a while when they play us but so what?

I tend to walk away from armchair fans in contempt unless:
A) they don’t support one of the big 5/6 AND
B) through no fault of their own, they can’t attend (family/finances/disability etc). | |

On a point of order re Gao; what happened to him was totally unforeseen and very unfortunate for both Gao and SFC. I have a lot of sympathy for him because without any prior warning the Chinese government partially froze the bank accounts of all wealthy Chinese businessmen. Whilst they were free to spend their millions in China they were not allowed to move any money outside of the country to invest in any overseas projects and specific reference was made by the Chinese government to a ban on investment in overseas football clubs. The agenda linked to that specific reference was the Chinese Super League (that we hear little about now) was getting established at that time. What happened really wasn’t Gao’s fault, he literally had the rug pulled from underneath him by the Chinese government.
That said, where my sympathy for Gao quickly evaporated was because once he realised the multi -millions he planned to invest in SFC was trapped in China he should have held his hands up and walked away giving someone else with the proper funding available to them the opportunity to buy him out and invest in the Club. For that, I cannot forgive him. |  | | |

People seem to be forgetting/brushing over he was unfit to own the club and as a result the fit and proper rules changed to stop people like him | |
