I am going to go all presumptive too and say that the wording of this is deliberate to highlight "athletic" as opposed to "will continue with their recovery from injury".
Over the last few seasons we have gone through perhaps 40-50 players across the squad but both Marti and Stefan both have had reason at times to leave out Kolli when there was no apparent injury. They both may have also left out other players but that may have gone under the radar because there has always been that focus on Kolli being the next best thing.
The fact that it appears to happen so often with him would say to me that there is some sort of disconnect between Rayan and the levels he needs to hit day in day out to stay in contention of a first time place - and for some reason he will not/cannot apply himself.
It is all speculation I know, but it just seems to be too often with Rayan that something is clearly not right. We can't just put it on Stefan "not fancying him" when he is clearly talented but we have others like Paul Smyth, Harvey Vale, Rahman Burrell and others on the plane to Austria and they have all had to deal with injuries and long term outages - but once they are back - they are back. |  |

You're probably right but Rayan does tend to get a bit punchy on social media, which doesn't really help. I mean, what he posted could apply to buying a hamster but it's deliberately vague enough for people to infer 'Kolli Hates Club: Feeling Is Mutual'. It's probably better for him to keep his council than create a potential PR ruck, but he keeps doing it and the club never gets out in front of it.
If he's carrying a knock / a potential injury risk, and they didn't want to take him, then say so. It's a protective, not punitive, measure. If they took him on tour unfit, and then didn't play him, no doubt there would be a similar post from Rayan: the club can't win either way. Just bloody tell us straight.
If he's agitating for a move, there's clubs that would want him. I'd rather he stayed - he's a good young player with bundles of potential. |  |
