It's not just that, though I think it is important our club tells the truth and if you put something like that in the season ticket brochure you should have figures to back it and the CEO of the company should be across those figures. It was disappointing all round that this was not the case.
Another reason I pursued that is a more general one about the whole sport, rather than QPR
Once these concessions have gone, they don't come back. QPR are not suddenly going to turn around next summer and give you back free Under 8s and discounted 23-25s. In fact, given barely anybody said anything, and in fact some fans actively went into bat for the club on social media with this, I suspect they're running their finger down the list now wondering what else they can do. Can we get rid of the 21s-23 concessions? Can we raise the OAP age limit? Lower the junior concession rate? If we stuck 10% on everybody's ticket would they say anything? What about 20%? What's the line where people get pissd off?
This is the next battle fans are going to have with their football clubs. They don't want to offer concessions. Concessions and season ticket holders are becoming a burden. The Premier League is not even making a secret of this now - four Americans or Koreans on a day trip, club shop, merchandise, refreshments are far more valuable than Bert and his mates who's had his seat for 60 years and gets an old gimmer rate and turns up at five to three and leaves ten minutes before time. The Premier League want the American model where a seat is $250, whether I'm sitting in it, whether a 3 year old sits in it, whether an 83 year old sits in it.
This summer Man Utd have gone to war with their season ticket holders, cancelling them for all sorts of spurious nonsense. Birmingham are doing the same. If you can't make a Birmingham game this year and you give your brother or your mate your season ticket, that's an offence. Three strikes they cancel your pass.
QPR mention this "waiting list" at every possible opportunity. It's seen as a great thing, positive PR. To me it also says - you're replaceable. The words 'waiting list' do not immediately scream cheap, affordable tickets in the future to me. They suggest thumb screws. How long before we get the animated, non-transferable, Ticketmaster digital tickets, for example? Or if you miss x number of games a season without putting it on the club's official resell platform we'll take it off you (Brentford, I believe, do this now).
Rightly or wrongly I think it's the role of sites like this to keep poking at things like this.

Hate these sharp practices and good when Clive and his ilk use their platform to keep this subject in full view.
It would be a particular travesty if our lot try this on. They’ve done nothing about building a bigger ground, nothing about giving us decent facilities, nothing about improving the overall match experience. If they went on to exploit the paltry 17500 seats in a run down 1980’s stadium given these failures, shame on the lot of them.

Just on concession pricing for OAPs with retirement age going up and that you can work for as long as you like: all clubs will be looking at that and marking that one to go next.

Nobody should be paying £42 to watch QPR play Bolton, unless it comes with a meal. Particularly not from that away end.

I thought Gab putting Southampton top was bold.
That 'siege mentality' thing can go both ways. Saints might have convinced their own fans they've been hard done by but a lot of clubs in this division will still be wondering if they were spied on by Saints last season and might want to prove a point when they next meet.
Add in the points deduction and the real possibility that Eckert could get a lengthy ban and it's difficult to see Gab getting that one right.
