Not really fair and if your comment about PL supporters is correct then we’ve done well to keep them interested considering it’s nearly a decade since we were demoted. Today’s game was chalk and cheese compared to the Stoke match.Disappointing in the way we played with little pace and no creativity, admittedly Sheffield came to spoil which they did well at but we could have been much better imo

What anyone would have said two weeks ago is totally irrelevant.
After last week’s display, I and others clearly were expecting more. After all, we were at home!

No clue where we were going in the midfield. Trying to walk the ball in using ‘clever Trevor’ moves and hitting brick walls.
I’ve said before, I will give Wilder and the team the credit they deserve but the onus was on us. First half was meh, second half we lost our grip on the game.
It wasn’t good FB, never mind how you want to be positive. There’s no harm in criticising when it’s merited and in my opinion, it is today.
Its easier for us to play away than it is at home, I can't believe that our supporters dont know this.
Teams come to us setting up not to lose, so we have to break them down, more often than not we do, sometimes we dont, get over it.
As someone has mentioned, we didnt get sucker punched and got a point.
As ive said previously and I think its relevant, how many points would you have taken in these last 2 games?

Typical Wikder tactics by Sheffield,try and clog the middle to stop any football being played and hope for a mistake or set piece goal We got a point against tricky opponents today , we didn’t fall for a sucker punch and lose I would have liked to have seen us shoot more first half instead of of trying to walk it in but overall like I said ,we got a point I thought Welsh and Lissah both played well,Eom di well and Widell was more mobile and offered more than Just had first half Vigs found touch a bit too often I hope Cabango is crocked but we need another CB in ASAP we didn’t win but we got a point and a clean sheet COYS
It would have been easy to lose your head against SU.A lot of off the ball stuff going on. Sadly there is a number of managers in this division who think stopping a football game breaking out is success

Thought Yeo had a better game than Opoku and was a greater threat. Thought Idah also put a shift in. Anyway my fault for going into a game with confidence, I suppose it's a reflection on current expectations that a draw with the Blades is disappointing. Onwards and upwards

As ive said i only mention away games is because we play differently, if they did go to away games they would notice the difference and might look at home games in a different way, therefore have an understanding how teams treat us at our gaff.

Firstly, give credit to Sheffield, they came with a gameplay to get something out of the game and did. Almost taking all 3 PTS.
As for the swans, bitterly disappointing. I was also bored at the match today, everything seemed flat. Not sure if that was tactics, team selection or just my own high pre-match expectations.
Problem with having majority of the ball against a team who are happy for you to have it is they sit deep with a low block leaving very few opportunities to get in behind them. Matos talks about having "different profiles" of players, so where were the players willing to smack a shot from 20 yards, or prepared to run directly at the central defence to create space behind or draw a foul. We didn't seem to have a plan B.
All that being said, I thought Welsh had another Solid game. Fulton did the DM role well and Lissah was more composed at the back even though I thought he offered very little going forward.
4pts, decent start overall but we will need to play better to be at the business end of the table.
Stewart is a big boy too!

It might surprise you that we do see things whether home or away,and there can be reasons for a poor game. I personally don't need to to get over anything. I went to the game came away with differing thoughts but overall as a spectacle it was poor. Does that stop me making it to other games? No Have I been spoilt by the Premier No As for most of my supporting life its been in lower leagues.

There needs to be adult conversation or no conversation. People need to feel comfortable posting without fearing reprisals. Again this forum is run so swans fans can interact. It isn’t in any way a revenue maker. It is done for those who enjoy being on here. Above post is correct.

I did post it was a poor game in the Well that was thread,which you.posted similar posts. Maybe you didn't intend to attack and belittle but imo that's how it came across. You comment on people not understanding the differing styles home v away and even if they go to away games. You made the comment about being spoilt by the Premier years. Now we all can see things differently, but what I was seeing was posts about one game, yesterday's game, which even after a sleep I haven't changed my view that it was poor. Now we know Sheffield Utd came to disrupt and I'll add I think the ref also had a poor game. Add to that we have 4 to 5 inexperienced players at this level, so our performances can be disjointed Hopefully time will improve this.
The game was poor though👍😏

Wilder has employed these tactics before. Obviously very different at home as we saw last season. He stretched his side across the pitch and instilled in them a discipline of pressing at every opportunity. They were far more prepared for the game with the Swans believing their better individual skills would wear down the opposition. For me it was another learning curve for Matos. They were stronger and more adept at deploying these tactics in amongst being far more determined and capable. Wilder deserved the point.
The intensity wasn’t there and it can’t be that the players are tired. Everything needs to be at a far higher tempo. I will go as far as to say the second half was reminiscent at times to Russell Martin. Build and slow down when getting over the halfway line.
Matos was completely out thought, and as many have said when he needed creativity and a player who can deliver a superb dead ball Walta was sat in the bench. Playing a defensive midfield in a game like this was a good idea based on last weeks experience. However, that isolated the wingers and the striker.
Giving away over 20% of possession when passing the ball meant the Swans were never going to break through in this game. It isn’t back to the drawing board but these players have to realise that strength and pace wins games in this league. Not a defensive mindset from the off. It sends the wrong message to the players.
For me I’m hoping it was an off day.
