yes very poor today over all , thought Walta may have been the guy to help open them up , for me even as early as it is there is still a lot of work to do on and off the field before the window closes if we really want to match the big boys at the end of the season,

Yes to all of that. We’ve lost our were ok in the first half but with creating anything of note.
Second half we went down rabbit holes and tried too hard and too fancy to get out of them. It seems their major goal is to look good on the ball rather than be effective. This has not changed since last year.
We needed to make a proper statement today with a strong, dominant performance and a result to go with it if we want to be thought of as too 8 contenders. Sadly, we didn’t do that. |  |

Fair to say that he didn't.
Well, that was a bit crap to be honest and I'm aiming a fair bit of the blame for that at Matos. You simply cannot end a game where we didn't get a shot on target until well past the 80 minute mark without a single creative midfielder on the pitch. He has to be braver, and he has to get over whatever problem he has with Walta.
Just was a nonentity. Opuku not much better. Yeo marginally better again. I'm still not sure what all the fuss is about over Stamenic either. |  |

I'm guessing it's because he (Vipotnik) jogged about a bit at Stoke and looked like he was uninterested. Whereas Idah came on, scored with his first touch, showed far more movement both with and without the ball, then used his strength to help us see the game out. | | | |

I'm very disappointed that we haven't seen much of Leo Walta so far. He's the sort of creative player you need to unlock defences like Sheff Utd. He's also very useful at dead ball situations as we saw at the end of last season. Don't know why Matos doesn't fancy him and I am really concerned that he will want to leave due to lack of gametime and be brilliant somewhere else. Totally agree that Fulton & Stamenic should both be in the starting line-up for home games - it's too negative. | | | |

I would have liked to have seen us shoot more first half instead of of trying to walk it in but overall like I said ,we got a point

Vigs found touch a bit too often

After last week’s display, I and others clearly were expecting more. After all, we were at home!

Trying to walk the ball in using ‘clever Trevor’ moves and hitting brick walls.
I’ve said before, I will give Wilder and the team the credit they deserve but the onus was on us. First half was meh, second half we lost our grip on the game.
It wasn’t good FB, never mind how you want to be positive. There’s no harm in criticising when it’s merited and in my opinion, it is today. | |
