Yeah, it's one of those dilemmas though frannies isn't it, because if he puts a way a way a few free kicks and helps us get promotion, I don't care. One way to get one over on the dirty skates is to win this league and get promoted. They won't like that.
Putting the skate connections aside, he is a good signing for one million pounds. He's already fit, a leader, exoerienced, knows the club, has something to prove, he's versatile.in that he can play defensive midfielder, attacking mid, right back and will put in some great crosses to Larin. | |

Yeah I agree, but unfortunately it looks like he is the Shea Charles replacement. Tonda would only have wanted 4 senior central midfielders and we now have 4.
I would have been happier with this if JWP was signed as the other 10. He'd be good as a 10 with 2 midfielders behind him to do the physical wok. I think he's a better alternative to Azaz than Dobbin is. But unfortunately I don't think that's the role he's been brought in for. Agree, when JWP played in the no. 10 position for a few games he looked really good, laying off some neat one touch passes and creating goals. In that position it's more difficult to pass backwards all the time so yes, they should utilise him there.
He could be a liability as a defensive midfielder with his lack of pace. | |

Having seen and heard him today on the Saintsfc website it doesn’t look and sound to me as though he has come back to make the half time tea and cut the oranges.
Nice business for Sports Republic, £30 million for Charles and a replacement by paying West Ham £1 million.
Aside of Ramsdale ( who it appears nobody wants ), I imagine J W P is now probably the highest paid player on the books which could make for some interesting conversations in the dressing room. | |
