I’m certain that we have all seen something similar happen during our working lives.
Personally, whilst I’m pleased that he will never again be between the sticks for us, I wish him well at Bolton where hopefully he has found his level.

It isn't actually the player I am defending it is the principal that as football supporters we should actually support our players rather than slag them off all the time.
Bazunu had some good games for this club, every game wasn't bad and to be honest has any other goalkeeper in the last 8 years or so done much better.
I await a few more bloopers from Daniel Peretz and then this board will be full of vitriol for him.
Last 3 regular Championship games has seen goalkeeping errors in two of them plus that flap against West Ham, so he is approaching Bazunu like status.

In our Premier League relegation season, Saints made more errors leading to opposition goals than any other team, but Ramsdale didn't make any at all. That is a remarkable stat. As you say, Nick, all of our other goalkeepers in recent years have made plenty of errors, except him.

I think Peretz has plenty of credit, before he even gets close to the number of Bazunu errors.
I wish him well, but the stats don't lie.

Im just waiting for Bolton_NICK to come along and say he must be good, as he played in an unbeaten run of 20 odd games. He should of saved all 3. The first one he pushes a shot into the oncoming striker to tap in. The 2nd he does the famous Baz shrinking arms and palms a header into the roof of the net. As for the 3rd jesus.......
Yes, that's him all over in terms of why he's so frustrating. He actually gets down to it enough to get a hand to it, but it still goes in.
For every great save he makes, there is one of these. Other keepers make these mistakes just not as consistently as he does.
And as for Nick saying that he must be good because he was in goal during our long unbeaten run. Maybe the point is during that period he obviously had a very effective side in front of him, so had little to do.
Most people would doubt we'd have won the play offs with him in goal.

He was worse than Mcarthy but credit where it’s due a cracking performance yesterday from him
McCarthy was the worst goalkeeper I've ever seen play for Saints and Bazunu and McCarthy's careers at other clubs confirm that.
McCarthy has a more negative impact on the whole team's performance than any other player. With him in goal, teams have only won 1 regular season home league game in the last FIVE YEARS.
Why Saints tolerated him for so long, when he got found out at other clubs almost immediately, God only knows.
