What happens if they give him a 3 or 6 month total football ban, we just have Lallana and Tonda's assistant in charge until Tonda comes back and stand by him? What is to stop Tonda buying a ticket for Saints games "as a fan"? What is to stop him.texting his staff with instructions or will they put a trace on his phone?
So by my logic, if we stand by him, how an earth could they enforce a total football ban? They surely can't restrict his freedom, i.e. attending games, texting players, being in contact with the club. Obviously, he cpuldn't be seen in the dressing room, but what is to stop him giving his coaching staff instructions by video link? If Tonda comes back in February for example, he is still the boss, and will stay in contact won't he, knowing he will return. [Post edited 11 Sep 18:01]

I think we and Tonda just carry on as if nothing has happened until told otherwise, but I'd like to think that the club have a plan B and C just in case the worse happens
As it is just Tonda on trial (the club have already been screwed) I'm not sure if they can fine him (legally?), but they can suspend him from football activity and ban him for a period of games or time. But will they be sensible and use common sense bearing in mind what the EFL did or totally screw us again? I just hope if it's stupid the club get their lawyers on the case more than they did with the EFL. Precedents etc?

I doubt very much it was only 3 games they were probably the ones we were bang to rights on however the punishments dished out have been way over the top.Personally I don't think the fa know what to do with Ekert,they want to be seen as all powerfull but know saints will take the legal route if the punishment is crazy and that would open a whole can of worms. | | | |

The way the club have handled the whole spying thing I doubt they have a plan b let alone a plan C.
Just like they arrogantly thought they’d just get a fine for the original spying they probably just think Tonda will get a fine or at worse a touchline ban - let’s hope they are not in for another shock . | |

Doing that would just be unbelievably stupid. I'd hope that Tonda and the club have learned their lesson. If it's a ban from any involvement with the club for a period of time, then that would be harsh and we should challenge, but if we lose any challenges then we should follow the ruling to the letter. It doesn't matter whether we think they can find out or not. We didn't think they could find out about the spying and look where that got us.
We shouldn't cheat again and if we do then he and the club should expect to have the rule book really and truly thrown at them. | | | |
