Mubama had a decent assist too, presenting Azaz with an easy tap in. Dobbin was anonymous though. He looked lost out there. But, maybe he'll come good eventually. |  |

I remember last season when we played Derby, that lump Clarke was spend most of the game bullying Stewart and just generally being a shithouse, when Cyle came on I noticed off the ball that Clarke tried the same thing but got put in his place as if to say "you won't be getting away with that anymore"

I would just like to say that when we signed Larin many people on here were giving him dogs abuse before he’d even kicked a ball saying he was a downgrade on Armstrong . I wasn’t one of them and I pointed out he’d scored goals wherever he’d been but some people were mocking the strength of the teams he’d played against. I wasn’t one of them and pointed out he knows where the back of the net is and his stats clearly showed that. I was reading the original post yesterday and I’m not going to repost it because it’s a bit embarrassing.
I have made some howlers in the past saying Dibling was going to be class ( mind you I still think he will be eventually )
I said the same about Jos Hooiveld 😂 but I got Luke shaw spot on. We all make wacky predictions.

Yes, Larin's Saints' debut was like Rickie Lambert's England debut -- a bullet header into the net with just about the first touch after coming on as a sub - a real wow moment - and I'll always remember being there to see them. Two players with total faith in their ability to score goals. | |

I've been watching the extended highlights this morning
Really liked his assist for Azaz's goal, overpowered their number 2, who was very lucky to still be on the pitch having flattened Larin twice, once with a forearm smash in the first half which was off the ball and again in the second half in front of the managers benches.
Mubama was too strong for him and then played a perfectly weighted pass through for Azaz to run onto and score
He's a different type of striker to Larin and it's up to Tonda and the coaching team to work out the style of play that will get the best out of him
Same goes for Lewis Dobbin, he's a good player who had a fine season at Preston, he just needs time to settle and us to get the best out of him | |
