The amount of chances we give up is still a real concern. Obviously Saturday was a great win but we should be under no illusions how clear cut the chances Oldham had.
There were some of those xG stats on twitter, and whilst not a fan of all that usually, it paints a picture that we are significantly worse than anyone else for how many clear cut chances we create against those we give to the opposition.
Points wise, we are actually overachieving at the moment which does at least point to some resilience to keep going. |

Rodney looked quite sharp, Sherring less so. Waller played very well in goal too.
Hannant’s departure could be another blow though.
We went from another morale boosting win in a game where admittedly the opposition could have scored more, to a deflating end where the opposition did score more.
Yes, that wasn’t anywhere near our first choice defence/midfield at the end, but the same issues exist across whoever is out on the pitch and have since pre season. We have to find a way to stop giving up so many clear cut chances. It’s a tactical issue.

Just watched highlights. Liverpool's late equaliser is at least a yard offside - even so its poor not seeing a game out like that. Hopefully not too much momentum lost from last Saturday's euphoric win and at least Fleetwood lost tonight too. Henderson's 2 finishes deserved to win us that game alone. |  |

Absolutely. I get the back four was two first team scholars and a midfielder and that our central midfield was another scholar and a winger but we should have been able to see it out, especially after their second. The blind pass back into central midfield by Hayes that lost possession was not great. If he wacks the ball up the line into the corner it is probably game over. I am sure he will have more positive impacts in the months ahead.
With the injuries to East and Pettit we are severely lacking midfield options. Middleton has really good short area quickness. I noticed this on Saturday against Oldham.

I wouldn't worry about him not being on crutches. A hamstring pull/strain wouldn't require crutches - still could be 4 - 6 weeks out with that. | |

After the pelters that Ramming got for his ‘cruyf turn’ I’m surprised nobody has mentioned the absolute awful no look pass with less than 2 minutes to go that led to their 2nd goal.
When Waller booted it out for a throw in after it went 3-2 under the main stand, i got York heebie-geebies and so it came to pass.

His movement, vision, passing and touch puts him head and shoulders above the other forwards and more than makes up for any shortcomings he might have due to his age. Put another way - do you think any of the other forwards would have scored the two goals he did?
He creates things from nothing, which means he can score goals which change games. He moves off the ball putting himself in great positions to receive it and/or pulling other defenders out of position. A couple of times he got the ball around the edge of the box and put great balls into dangerous areas. He's in the right place at the right time for his first goal (has anyone else been for any of the other goals we've scored this season?) and the second one was classic Hendo. No-one else offers that. There is absolutely no reason not to play him more often. |  | | |

Totally agree. Fail to understand why there is so much talk about his age. If his performances were affected by it, fine, but he’s a better player now than he was when he rejoined the club four years ago in L2. | |

I was going to ask that at the forum but Putin with the mic decided time was time.
A few injuries is bad luck, what we're experiencing runs deeper than bad luck and it's time to look at what the players are being asked to do in training.
Also, we've signed players made of glass. Surely the recruitment team / MRKT look at their injury record when compiling the stats? Seems to have been ignored with this lot.
We had injuries last season but nowhere near this level. |  |
