Threads about this topic always make me chuckle. Last time I was supping a pint in a ground when we scored was as Furlong hit the winner ……. coming back from 2-0 down v Leicester (2005 I think almost to the day).
Except the ground was Ravenhill watching Ulster vs Ospreys, stood alongside the pitch with our comms in my ear. Cant recall the rugby score but I do recall beer may have been spilled. The RUC (and the then Mrs Davies) were not impressed.
I'd leave just as it is. Beer at rugby is a nonsense these days at internationals. Football would be just as bad! | | | |
