Given the momentum was with Millwall for a lot of the game, I thought the defensive organisation was very good given he and Cabango have not played together much. Decent with his feet as well as being physically imposing. Great block in the first half.

| Seelt on 10:28 - Oct 14 with 689 views | heatwave | There were a lot of rumblings of discontent when he replaced Welsh. If these players don't get a start we will never know if they are good enough. He was excellent. Hopefully fit for Saturday as we'll probably need to move Welsh to fullback. | | | |

It was exactly the match to play him. His skill set was perfect to face Millwall and their style of play. Hopefully he will be just as good against tricky forwards who are good with their feet. We will probably find out on Saturday if Bowen cuts inside on Tymon.

will be interesting to see who is selected to play right back on saturday as when he played there for Scotland Welsh was hooked at half time, This is the one area that needs looking at in the next window hence the chatter of a free transfer right sided player recently

Difficult to see who else will fill the position. Unless he changes to 3 at the back with Ronald filling in on the right side.

That block was superb, but again caused by Vigs and Cabango tapping the ball about and passing to players under pressure. We got away with it last night, but we won't against the top teams. It's an accident waiting to happen. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Spare fly Welsh can play RB which makes sense seeing Seelt had a start yesterday to prepare him. Excellent rotation from Matos

💯💯💯💯 It's baffling. I know managers want players to be "brave", but whatever happened to the "If in doubt" approach??? Widell was caught out against Norwich, when all it needed was a punt off the pitch. [Post edited 14 Oct 12:47]

Widell had the option of passing it forward up the line, but opted to turn back towards towards the corner.

I think we’ll probably mix in a bit more direct football against the footballing sides. We already do it at home. Cabango played a few diagonals to Opoku on the weekend. Very little point doing that at Milwall as they will win most aerial challenges but have a big lumbering thug up front who isn’t that hard to manoeuvre around. I don’t think we’ll risk playing triangles around strikers so often against West Ham.

Fyi millwall were 8th before we played them last night. They are morphing ibto the team that finished in the play offs last season. Id take one or two mishaps against that team at their place, then rob them of 3 pts.
